California Charcoal Review

Carrie Greene has posted her California Charcoal review after using it has said that she didn’t find it very effective for her skin. She basically wanted something to reduce wrinkles on her face and to add a glow to the skin, but it didn’t work. She’s also observed that peeling the California Charcoal mask off the skin is painful as it hurts while being taken off and is also difficult to apply in a consistent manner. She feels that more than blackheads, it is facial hair that comes off with it.

Michelle Moore, who switched over to California Charcoal from another brand has written in her review that it has poor consistency and is too thin to stay of face. She has to put several layers to get California Charcoal to stay but it still doesn’t really work much effect as most blackheads stay intact. Worse, for her, the smell of the mask is also unbearable. She says she’d like to warn people to think twice before purchasing it.

Lillie Pratt also echoes similar comments in her California Charcoal review wherein she complains that it pulls off more hair than blackheads. She says it is unable to remove whiteheads too and it’s also painful to take it off. She says that California Charcoal smells like glue, which may be because the makers must have tried to make it stay on the skin. She’s also mentioned that when it’s pulled off the skin, it breaks into several small fragments, which are gluey and difficult to remove from fingers.

Nancy Cook, another user who feels disappointed with California Charcoal has said in her review that her skin developed red rashes and became chipped when she applied it for the first time. She thought of giving California Charcoal a try again by applying it in a different way, but the same thing happened again. Her skin also turned oily and it’s started breaking into acne. She also finds California Charcoal sticky and difficult to peel off after it dries. She is not satisfied with the results and wishes she’d never used California Charcoal.

California Charcoal VERDICT

The cleansing and hydrating California Charcoal mask isn’t a unique face mask. In fact, it seems that it is simply a continuity of many such masks that are widely acclaimed in the market. Search for peel off charcoal masks or hydrating charcoal mud on Walmart, Amazon, or simply Google for endless results. California Charcoal has one competitive mask, Majestic Pure Activated Charcoal Mud Mask that fairs much better when it comes to performance and effectiveness. While California Charcoal is rated poorly as 3.1 out of 5 by 86 customers, The Majestic Pure Activated Charcoal Mud Mask has 4.5 ratings averaging from 303 customer reviews. Price-wise too, California Charcoal is almost double the price. We do not recommend this mask as it makes no sense to pay more for something that is rated poorly. Do not get blinded by the website and some positive internet reviews of California Charcoal. Instead, dive deeper into the reviews that are under 3 to get a much better sense of understanding regarding the mask.
