Flea Doctor Comb REVIEW | Electric Flea Zapper Comb Busted

About Flea Doctor

Fleas can be painful for you and your pet. Using chemicals to treat them can be expensive and dangerous too. Now there is Flea Doctor, a safe, chemical-free electronic comb that guarantees to kill fleas on contact.

Flea Doctor CLAIMS

Simply brush Flea Doctor through your cat or dog’s hair. It alleges that it uses Comfort Charge Technology to reach deep into your pet’s coat, find the fleas, kill them on contact, and remove them from your pet. Does Flea Doctor really work as promised? Send us your Flea Doctor review.

The Flea Doctor comb releases a slight electric charge that kills the fleas instantly. It asserts that your pet will enjoy the nice, soothing grooming. Does it sound too good to be true? Flea Doctor reviews will soon reveal the facts.

Flea Doctor maintains that it is perfect for pets young or old, and long or short fur lengths. Unlike other treatments, Flea Doctor emphasizes that when you use the comb, you know when the fleas are gone. It combs gently through your pet’s hair and kills multiple fleas at the same time. The claim seems to be too far-fetched, will be confirmed only after Flea Doctor is reviewed.

Flea Doctor REVIEW

Reviews claim that Flea Doctor comb is a hit or miss when it comes to killing fleas in your pet’s fur. Many users who reviewed the Flea Doctor claim that it just “stuns the flea” and does not kill them. They also mention that Flea Doctor is cheaply made and the teeth are too wide for the feline hair.

Many users say that flea combs like Flea Doctor are not worth the investment, it is better to get an anti-flea solution prescribed by a Vet – that actually has long lasting effect. Flea infestation spreads very fast and combs like Flea Doctor are just toys when it comes to dealing with lots of pets.

Reviewers also say that Flea Doctor makes big noise which bothers their pets. When asked if they would recommend the Flea Doctor, they said emphatic “NO”. According to the reviews, Flea Doctor is not the only flea zapper comb. There are several other “branded” electric flea zappers available out there in the market and there is no reason why then would buy the Flea Doctor “as seen on tv” flea comb.

Flea Doctor Verdict

As the reviews have revealed the Flea Doctor is just a stopgap solution for addressing the pet flea issue. Though Flea Doctor comb emphatically claims that it is an alternative to the “Chemical” anti-flea sprays, those “chemical” solutions actually work in preventing and controlling the infestation, there are also “Natural” solutions available that you need to check out. Flea Doctor Comb is in no way an alternative to proven flea treatments spays. We would recommend going for Anti-Flea Spray than buying the gimmicky Flea Doctor comb.

  1. My husband bought 3 (buy 2 get 1 free) we’ve used it on all 3 and it doesn’t stun or kill, fleas were on the comb and jumped on my husband. I gave him a mix of water/Dawn to put the fleas he was able to get in. It does say in the directions that it DOES NOT STUN OR KILL and you need a dawn/water solution to empty the bristles into. It’s pretty sad that it says it kills/stuns on the package but the directions say otherwise. The noise didn’t bother them. We wouldn’t buy again. It’s just as much work to use a regular flea comb and dip it in a water/dawn solution and a regular flea comb actually brings lots more fleas with it unlike the flea Doctor you get maybe 1 or 2 at a time sometimes none even doing slow passes.

  2. Bought Flea Doctor and cats hated the “Beep”. Opened it up and unsoldered the round “black disc with small hole” (Piezo alarm). Once that was out, it did not beep and the cat’s didn’t mind the comb one bit. Had to pull comb out a bit as the button was a bit stiff. Wish the comb was a bit longer to get through thick fur. Brush slowly to avoid tangles in fur. It does stun/kill the flea long enough to throw it in the toilet or, bowl of water (don’t put the comb in water). I just get over the water, turn off the machine, and brush into the bowl. It does work, but is not a replacement for vet pesticides. It is a good complimentary device to be had for under $20 so yeah, I would probably buy another.

  3. Waited impatiently for mine to arrive. It sounded like a helpful tool to help get rid of fleas. Soooooo disappointed! The fleas were happily crawling in and around the teeth of the comb as it beeped away. I’d be better off picking them off with my fingers and dropping them in water/detergent. THUMBS DOWN

I completely agree with all of the negative reviews on this product. Not only does it not work, it keeps falling apart. Lesson learned to not order things while I’m half asleep, lol. Don’t waste your money.

  5. Received as a gift. Complete waste of money. Could barely get 2AA batteries inserted without breaking the plastic sides. Had to re-insert batteries 10 times to get it to turn on. Had to hit it to get it to run. Save your money and buy a $10 flea collar and a good fine-tooth comb/brush.

I impatiently waited for this flea doctor comb to come all the way from China. What a disappointment! It is a cheap piece of junk that is worthless! I have a dog and a cat, and it took one flea off my cat. It was not even stunned and it swiftly jumped right back onto the cat. I am sorry I wasted my money on this, and will never recommend it. And NO I would not be stupid enough to buy it again.

  8. Flea Doctor is a joke. Can anyone get the comb through their pets fur? How is it supposed to kill fleas on the surface. I found that flea comb from 99 cent store works better at removing the fleas. Save your money. Don’t purchase this product!

I use the flea doctor everyday on my little dog, even though it doesnt kill all the fleas instantly it does stun them long enough to dump them in a bowl of soapy water and they drown… to me it was well worth the money…
