Eustachi Questions and Answers

Q. Will Eustachi help fluid in the inner ears?
A. If the fluid is trapped because of a constricted Eustachian tube, then Eustachi will help.

Q. Does it hurt when you use Eustachi?
A. No, it does not hurt. The air is forced into your nostril and works to open up the Eustachian tubes. You will hear some crackling, but it is painless.

Q. What kind of batteries does Eustachi use?
A. Eustachi uses AA batteries.

Q. If you have a buildup of wax in your ears, would Eustachi still work?
A. Not sure about that but Eustachi works from the inside, so a wax build-up could prevent the airflow needed for ears to pop. Using peroxide in the ears to clear the build-up before use is recommended.

Q. Can an adult with ear tubes use Eustachi?
A. No, the instructions on the Eustachi device states that anyone with ear tubes should not use this product.

Q. Has anyone used Eustachi for ear pressure when on an airplane?
A. Eustachi has been tried for use in an airplane and it is fantastic.

Q. How is Eustachi different from pinching my nose and using my lungs to make pressure?
A. There is no difference. It does not relieve fluid in ears.

Q. How do you use Eustachi?
A. Hold one side of your nose and blow air in the opposite side as you swallow.

Q. Had bad cold and ears have been clogged for a month – has anyone used? Eustachi after a bad cold and worked for them?
A. Eustachi has worked well.

Q. Why does Eustachi go up your nose?
A. Eustachian tubes are located in the back of your throat (the nasopharynx). The Eustachi helps exercise your Eustachian tubes using a little bit of air. The air is delivered into your nostril where it can reach the Eustachian tube openings (in the nasopharynx).

Q. Why do you need to swallow?
A. Swallowing and yawning are the body’s natural way to exercise the Eustachian tubes. When you swallow and yawn, your Eustachian tube system opens the tubes so the air behind the eardrums can be equalized. Eustachi helps condition the Eustachian tubes during swallowing. That is why you need to swallow while the air is blowing into your nose. Most people find that holding a sip of water in the mouth and then swallowing the water while the air is blowing, works best. If you don’t swallow, you are just blowing air up your nose and your ears won’t clear.

Q. Does the air run out?
A. No, the Eustachi has a battery operated motor than runs a small air source. The regulated air (about 5 psi) will run as long as the product is in good working order with batteries properly installed.

Q. How often should you use Eustachi?
A. Eustachi should be used as and when needed. Most people find that using it as their ears are getting clogged (like landing in an airplane) or when their ears are plugged (during allergy season, etc.) works best and the results are immediate. If ears have been clogged for awhile, then we recommend using Eustachi a few times a day until they clear up. Try alternating which nostril you use as well. Just like any exercise or conditioning routine, you need to stick with it. That’s why you are offered the 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If it doesn’t help you,you can send it back but give it some time to condition those Eustachian tubes. Use it for a few weeks for really stuffy ears.

Q. Does Eustachi clean ear wax?
A. No, Eustachi does not clean ear wax. Eustachi helps exercise the Eustachian tubes (behind your eardrums). Ear wax is in the ear canal (in front of your eardrums).

Q. Does it help with water trapped in the ear after swimming or showering?
A. No, Eustachi helps exercise the Eustachian tubes (behind your eardrums). Water trapped after swimming or showering is in the ear canal (in front of your eardrums).

EUSTACHIAN TUBE EXERCISES

You know that plugged up feeling you get in your ears when you’re landing in an airplane? Swallowing, yawning or chewing gum to try and clear it up doesn’t always work. Some people suffering from allergies, sinus problems or a cold might have this same feeling whenever cold and allergy season sets in.

Swallowing and yawning are actually exercises for your ears, more specifically, your Eustachian tubes. We exercise our Eustachian tube system over a thousand times a day when we swallow and yawn. These exercises are the body’s natural process for equalizing the air pressure behind our eardrums.

While swallowing your body is trying to open your Eustachian tubes, but sometimes swallowing alone isn’t enough. This is when the Eustachi will help you. The Eustachi helps you exercise your Eustachian tubes, as you swallow, using a little air delivered through your nose.

The Eustachi is the first product marketed to help with the general physical conditioning of the Eustachian tube system. Eustachi works with the body’s natural process of swallowing.

The muscles of the eustachian tube system help open and close the tube, thus allowing it to perform its function. These muscles are the (1) tensor veli palatini, (2) levator veli palatini, (3) salpingopharyngeus, and (4) tensor tympani. The Eustachi helps open the Eustachian tubes during swallowing by using a little air delivered through your nose. Eustachi works with your body’s natural swallowing exercise.

How is Eustachi different?

The difference between using the Eustachi and pinching your nose and blowing is that when you pinch your nose and blow, you aren’t yawing or swallowing, so your Eustachian tubes aren’t naturally opening. Pinching your nose and blowing is one type of exercise, but it forces the tubes open.

Also, pinching you nose and blowing requires the proper technique. It is up to the individual to know how to do it the right way, which can be a challenge for parents to teach.

The Eustachi works with your body as you swallow. When you are swallowing the tubes open naturally. The air from Eustachi helps complete the exercise when swallowing isn’t enough.

Eustachi is easy to use on others. To use Eustachi all they need to do is swallow, which can be done by holding a sip of water in the mouth.

Eustachi is drug-free and safe! Eustachi is also simple to use! Eustachi helps exercise your Eustachian Tubes naturally anytime. You can use Eustachi anywhere using just a little air.

Compare Eustachi with EarPopper

  1. I have a damaged right ear and it is infected by fungus very easily. It has been staying wet and festering and a local ENT is recommending surgery by a ear specialist. If I can keep the ear dry and clean it may solve the problem and the ear may return to a more normal condition.
I have a hole in the ear drum but I don’t see any problem with the ear drum itself.

  2. I just started the eutaschi device last night
And i followed the directions hold one nostril closed while the other nostril is inserted with device using a tight seal while keeping water in the mouth and swallow while device is running.

My question is this how long to run it for and do you have to tilt your head back? And do you use ths twice a day? For how long?
