Compare REVIEW: CIZE vs T25

CIZE REVIEW

Cize comes across as a fun routine to help lose weight but it isn’t similar to Zumba where the dance takes place on several different songs. The concept if Cize is to learn one step at a time and once move by move are added to the whole sequence the last 3 minutes plays the actual song. This is where the entire sequence is used as a dance routine. Shaun T is an excellent teacher and knows exactly what he is doing. The only slight hiccup is the fact that the actual dancing takes place only in the last 3 minutes where the choreography learnt on an instrumental track is to be added together. In between the concentration may even go off when the user is dancing and Shaun takes a break from the dance and talks. This may confuse the user a little during the sequence and by the time the rhythm is picked the song is over. Obviously one can repeat the song to dance to it once again but one needs to wait for the CD to return to the main menu. This wait can be very disappointing and can really kill the mood to dance again. The best thing would have been an easy way to surf through the songs individually too to provide one single go at all songs in one full 20-25 minutes routine.

On an average the timings of the workouts are laid in a good duration placing most of them between 30 to 35 mins. The first one though lasts for approximately 45 mins and the last for 52 mins. The moves are really simple and fun to learn. It is easy to master in a few times but that makes it stale too once you know the moves. It is a good routine for beginners but once the moves are mastered there is no need to re-learn them over and over rendering the entire workout to be of only 3 minutes. With the initial run customers have achieved decent calorie burn of about 230-250 calories per 30 mins workout with a heart rate at 116.

Focus T25 REVIEW

Focus T25 does deliver on its promise when it comes to providing a very good calorie burn. Every workout has the capacity to make users sweat. Some users have achieved a level of 400 calories on cardio based DVDs and 300 for the rest, which is an exemplary achievement for a 25 min workout program. Another advantage that is already mentioned is the fact that the workout lasts for only 25 mins and a couple more for cool down. But getting done in such a short amount of time does make it a good routine for people running short on time. The production value on DVD is spot on and Shaun T. provides excellent training and also a low-impact modifier making it helpful for people with knee issues.

A user who performed Focus T25 for straight 7 weeks found it helpful but at the same time it is really repetitive. The move set also doesn’t deliver a lot after few weeks use. There is just too much of some moves such as hopping, later lunges and burpes. The cardio workouts in plank positions also grow a little too much. In reality if you break it down the DVDs have the same 15-20 basic moves out of which half of them are tough enough for most workout enthusiasts. Some workouts tend to have move sets so common it is questionable why do they have to be on different DVDs. For example Speed 1, Speed 2, Cardio and Cardio Core are similar workouts spread across Alpha and Beta with 75% of same exercises in them.

For those looking for a good disciplined plan and organized workout schedule this DVD delivers it quite well. But it can be daunting for people who are looking for an “out of the box” workouts where the trainer puts all the program in place without the user trying to rotate and plan the calendar. The first half called Alpha portion of the program is very good at delivery cardio centric workout for the body. But it lacks some full body workout which may put the user out in the gym again or use another DVD to fulfill the need to pump the muscles. The second half Beta has lighter workouts for lower body which again puts users in a dilemma to try additional programs for it. Such need to use other workout programs makes it more overpriced for its cost. The program can definitely come for a cheaper price as there are many rotational DVDs that comes for a much lesser value. Apart from the price it’s a good workout and overall if one can find time to sometimes combine and couple two DVDs at one time it can provide a very good calorie burn.
