Compare Reviews and Complaints: Puck Oven vs Nuwave

Puck Oven reviews

Has some limitations
Daniel who reviewed Puck Oven revealed in his review that although the oven worked well there were a few limitations like the fact that the rack doesn’t fit well and could lead to it falling down. You have to struggle to get around this problem.

Not perfect
Hans who bought Puck Oven complained in his review that he couldn’t order the oven with the Rotisserie. He says that he would have been happier if the option was available to him. He also adds that though the oven works well you need some time getting used to it. All the features are not clearly mentioned in the instructions, which is a shame because he ended up spending more time trying to get things to work. However overall, he was of the opinion that it was a quality oven that is worth its price.

Nuwave Reviews
Thicker meat has to be flipped
Roxanne who reviewed Nuwave exposed in her review that there is one big problem with the oven although overall it functions alright. The issue is that if you are going to use any kind of meat that is thicker than one inch, you have to flip it half way through. According to her, it should have been mentioned in the advertising of this oven. She suggested that the oven would be just perfect if the cooking technology was combined with rotisserie cooking method.

Not enough for big families
Sandra who used Nuwave complains in her review that you can use it to cook for a couple of people but it just doesn’t make sense for bigger families. She was also upset with the controls that are quite complicated, making matters worse. You also have to be careful about with the plastic dome because it can crack easily, especially if you use the oven quite frequently.

Not worth the price
Perri who used Nuwave complained in his review that the oven is not well made at all. He is disappointed that the dome is made out of plastic and is quite flimsy when you would expect a glass dome for the price you are paying. He was worried that the dome was going to break, which prevented him from using it. Now he has left the oven lying in the kitchen, which is a complete waste of his money. He just doesn’t think the oven is worth the price you pay for it.

Nuwave has available, and is standard on some models a much better dome made of a nearly break proof plastic these days. Frankly I’d be much more concerned with a glass dome. It wold be a lot more weight, take a lot more time to cool down, and I’d be afraid of it shattering from modest bumps in the kitchen, let alone if I dropped it in the sink or floor.

    • I agree with the thought on a glass dome for nuwave, I’d be too worried about accidents and breaking the glass. Overall I found this comparison review extremely helpful, thank you! Two notes, the puck oven now has a rotisserie option, and if you buy directly from the puck oven website it’s now offered for 5 payments of $39.99 with free standard shipping, expedited shipping is more of course. Thanks again for a great article!
