Toucan Can Opener Review
Shoddy product – Kate who reviewed Toucan Can Opener complained in her review that it just doesn’t work. She followed the instructions to the T, but it would not open cans at all. She had bought it for a friend who had a disability and needed help opening cans but this can opener was completely useless according to her. She tried every trick in the book, changed batteries and also ordered more can openers but none of them worked. She is now disappointed having wasted her money.
Poorly made opener – Leya who used Toucan Can Opener exposed in her review that she has only faced problems with this opener. It stops working after a few attempts and just keeps spinning. The magnet wouldn’t lift the lid from the cans either. The rubbery sticky substance that is used on the lids causes its own problems as you need to push the lids out, which is a huge hassle.
Dangerous to use – Tia who bought Toucan Can Opener revealed in her review that she noticed it shaved off metal from the inside of the tin, which was a risky proposition. She was annoyed that it kept spinning without doing its job. She wants to return it and hopes to get her money back.

One Touch Can Opener REVIEW
The One Touch Can Opener stays true to its name because it really does require just one touch to start. While it isn’t the fastest of the lot, it does the job quite effectively. I did appreciate the fact that I didn’t have to hold onto the can while it was working its way around the lid, like I did with my previous automatic can opener. While it does claim to automatically turn off once it completes the circumference of the lid, I have noticed that it switches off at times before the lid is completely opened. That said, all I needed to do was it turn it on again for it to complete the process. I did have a bit of difficulty getting it started when I used it for the first time but I guess practice is what is needed to get accustomed to the One Touch Can Opener. Being battery operated, it is a boon to be able to just replace the batteries to get it working again as opposed to buying a new one altogether. The batteries do run out fast but I’m guessing that also depends on the frequency of usage.
Tornado Can Opener Pros/Cons
The tornado can opener is certainly not as fast as its name suggests. That being said, it does do a fairly good job on opening lids of different sizes of cans. It certainly is convenient as compared to the manual can openers. I didn’t have to wrestle with the can while trying to open. But, it isn’t as smooth sailing as the website claims for it to be. In fact, it does stop mid-way and you have to switch it on again for it to complete the opening. While I can vouch for the claim of the tornado can opener being able to open any size of cans, the claim of it being able to open any lids of any thickness is not entirely accounted for. I did try using the Tornado can opener to open up a fairly thick lid on one of my cans but to no avail. I ended up using my manual can opener. The retrieval magnet does a beautiful job of making sure that the lid does not fall back into the can. In fact I’d say this feature impresses me the most. One feature lacking in the Tornado can opener is that it doesn’t stop on its own once it is done opening a can. So you’ll have to turn it off yourself once it’s done. Also, stock up on AA batteries as the Tornado Can Opener needs 4 and doesn’t come with any on purchase. For more Tornado Can Opener review, visit this page.
