Hurricane Mop vs Twist and Shout Mop Review

Hurricane Mop Review

The Hurricane Mop has lots of disadvantages. The handle is too short for average users increasing the pressure on the back. It also falls apart a lot of times and snaps into two if little pressure is applied for cleaning in forward direction. It looks as if it is jammed together and held by friction. Hurricane Mop doesn’t stay flat on the floor and keeps rolling over on the edge. The water leaks from the bottom while the rubber pieces keep coming off. Swiveling motion as promised is not available as the head of the mop doesn’t come off easy.

Twist and Shout Mop Review

Twist and Shout Mop Advantages:

The biggest advantage of Twist and Shout Mop is the freedom from bending over many times to squeeze the mop with bare hands. The effortless cleaning of Twist and Shout Mop is because of its ability to glide over any hard surface due to the two mop head design. The mop heads are completely machine washable for worry free cleaning. The mop bucket is fully assembled with an option of an 8 inch extension handle that can be assembled easily in just a minute. While cleaning it’s easier to dunk it into the water side of the bucket and later transfer to the spin side of the bucket. Twist and Shout Mop does this without splashing any solution or water everywhere. Stowing away the mop is easy as it can be slid under the kitchen table or around toilets.

Twist and Shout Mop Disadvantages:

The problem that occurs with Twist and Shout Mop is mainly with its bucket and handle. The bucket comes with a maximum water marker, which is great but it is actually a sticker instead of embossing, which may come off easily. This leaves the user guessing the watermark and if the bucket is filled slightly over the limit the water sprays out in about 2 feet radius. The bucket also is quite large and thus may require filling process in the bathtub. While doing so it may be difficult for many people to lift the bucket once it fills inside the bathtub as water weighs a lot and approximately Twist and Shout Mop bucket fills it to a 3 gallon weight or more. The mop fiber used is not purely cotton is some kind of blend where the other material fails to trap any dirt particles.
Twist and Shout Mop also has complaints regarding its handle that is said to be a bit loose while constantly squeezing the water and can be tightened at times. The mop also has a bit of wobbling effect while using the bucket spinner and can shake a lot while spinning the mop head. The wobble from the spinning bucket can get amplified several times, which can cause enough wear and tear in Twist and Shout Mop to break down eventually. But many a times it may be users trying to spin it without using it in the “unlocked” position. As a result the excess force can even break the handle or the spinner.
