  1. I have the same concerns & questions as many others. Which is best climber or the trainer M5. I have a physical job but my body has gotten used to it. I have back & knee pain so want a machine that won’t increase that pain but that will give me the results i want. Tryin to tone, lose body fat, gain alil muscle, overall increase energy & metabolism.

  2. 6 back surgeries fused L2/S1 with L1/L2 now gone. Need thoracic repair and cervical fusion. I need massive activity. Wondering which would be more beneficial. My wife wants tread climber, but max looks like lower impact…

    • I am trying to make the same decision. I used an elliptical for over 5 years, 6 days a week for 45 minutes. Now my lower back and knees seemed “tweaked” and the elliptical aggravates them. Research I did indicated that the “slanting” of the body on an elliptical is not good for the lower back. I like the idea of the Max/14 minute internal workout…but don’t want to further irritate my back. Have you found any research on which of these two will be better for problem backs?

      • I have the same question…which would be better for someone with mild back and knee pain, the Max or the treadclimber?

    • I’ve had the treadclimber for 3 years. Haven’t lost a bit of weight but it has improved my endurance and cardio

    • My husband and I purchased the Max Trainer M5 at the beginning of the year. I am 43 years and have some tender knees too carrying extra weight, about 60 pounds. I have lost 18 pounds and exercise most everyday for 14 minutes. I love the low impact and the calorie burn. My husband starting losing weight back in Sept. 2014 and ramped up the weight loss with the Max Trainer. He has hit his weight loss goal and uses the machine once sometimes twice a day. This has been our best exercise equipment purchase ever.
