  1. Oh–and I KNOW it’s only extracting 25% or less because I MEASURED the OUTPUT. NOT TOO HARD IN A GRADUATED BUCKET!

In the manual, it says to empty the extracted water into the toilet. What a GOOD IDEA!!! I’ve been doing THAT for 40 years or more.

It should have the BAD HOUSEKEEPING seal–it could make your furniture mold, mildew, rot, or hatch bugs by leaving 3/4 of the water in it.

  2. Where is your REVIEW & COMPLAINT SECTION? That’s ANOTHER complaint I have.

I have plenty of experience with commercial Rug Dr’s, both at home an in my business. Mighty Pro is a BIG disappointment because it only extracts 25% or less of the water when using the upholstery tool.

Also, in the Twin Ports, there isn’t even ONE service shop that can work on them, non of them can get the parts. I called Rug Doctor, and they said the nearest was in Bemidji, MN, or St. Paul, MN. Like I’m going to drive 160 miles each way to get it fixed if it breaks. BAD–PRETTY BAD on the part of Rug Doctor, Kohl’s, and Walmart–those are the only two stores I know of that sell them. I also called Kohl’s Customer Service: boy, did the CSR give ME a load of BS, and I told him he better go back to CSR school. He told me if it broke, I should haul it up to Kohl’s and they would see that it got fixed–they would ship it out. He kept repeating that “they have “”channels””. I told him HE was on the WRONG channel. You know Kohl’s would tell me to call Rug Doctor, and they would tell me to ship it for service, and that would probably cost over $100 just to ship.

  3. Thrilled with the price I paid at Kohl’s: on sale, had 30% off flier, and with two bottles of Rug Doctor Cleaner, I got $70 in Kohl’s cash. SO WHAT!! I went up there because my Hoover broke for good. Only a Bissell and the Rug Doctor on sale.

I was thrilled to bring the machine home. Started using it last night on a full size, quilted (NOT pillow top) mattress. It only pulled out 25% of the water, even though I made at least two passes over each area with the wonderful upholstery tool.

Today I’m doing my couch. It is covered with a thin fabric. I have only done the 3 cushions. It was pretty dirty because of little grandsons and a young dog who sneaks up there. The Rug Doctor got a lot of dirt out, but I’m wondering if I will have a mildew problem because it extracted LESS than 25% of the water. Pretty bad investment. I’m finishing my couch and taking it back tomorrow. Good Housekeeping and Rug Doctor are FULL OF PRUNES!! My Hoover got almost ALL of the water out of my furnishings and mattresses.
