The ultimate professional painting machine is now available. You can paint like a pro without the use of rollers, brushes, the mess, or paint-trays. Cover those walls with the color of your choice quickly and easily. The Paint Zoom power sprayer is the answer. All you need to do is pull a trigger and paint.

How does Paint Zoom Sprayer work?

The product comes with a comprehensive user manual that you can refer to at anytime. It also contains safety information. You get a spray gun, paint container, viscosity cup (to measure and thin paint), hose, and motor base. Assembling all these parts is very simple.

Screw the spray gun onto the paint container. Attach one end of the hose to the back of the gun and the other end to the motor base. Plug it in and you’re ready to go.

The paint gun produces very little spray and paint mist. It just takes minutes to paint with Paint Zoom. Paint, stain, and vanish as the sprayer does the hard work for you. You can use this indoors and outdoors on any kind of surface, brick, ceilings, stucco, flat walls, wood, concrete, and much more! The finish is professional. What’s more, you even use half the amount of paint you would normally use, saving money and time. Color your rooms now, create wonderful spaces with Paint Zoom.

Problems with Paint Zoom Paint Sprayer

One of the biggest problems with Paint Zoom Paint Sprayer is the fact that the fan unit heats up only after using it for 20-30 minutes. However the sprayer itself gets super hot very quickly. As many customers have mentioned in their comments; the customer service is extremely poor.

The non-airless compressor kind of spray gun gives out mist that adds fine dust particles into the air in your house. You might not be able to see the dust but it can get through your closets as well and often lasts around you for weeks. It can cause a health issue because it will collect in your lungs for weeks too.

The Made In China tag on the package should be the first warning sign, which comes true as you notice that the parts in the product are flimsy and very poorly made although the sprayer does its job. The male end of the hose can snap off easily, which means the end of air supply. You need to protect your surroundings from the mist that comes out of the sprayer and taping everything within 10 feet of the wall is a good idea. You are better off buying one from Home Depot, which will cost a lot less too.

The motor in Paint Zoom Paint Sprayer is too loud and the product is just not suitable for painting ceilings. You might struggle to paint the entire wall as well because it is more suited for small and medium sized painting jobs. It has a one quart container, which is just not sufficient for the entire wall. You will have to clean and refill the container over and over again to get through the entire wall.

You shouldn’t go by the commercials you see and it’s vital that you wear protective gear when you use the Paint Zoom Paint Sprayer. You might also want to protect your floor from the paint dropping all over it by covering it with something.

Advantages of Paint Zoom Paint Sprayer
Paint Zoom Paint Sprayer holds a huge advantage over compressor type of sprayers, which can create quite a mess. This sprayer doesn’t atomize the paint but simply pushes it, which makes your painting job a lot cleaner.

Tips for using Paint Zoom Paint Sprayer successfully
Firstly, wear a protective gear. To do your painting job effectively make sure viscosity of the paint is consistent and you strain the paint before use. Don’t rush the job and maintain the temperature uniformly. Paint Zoom Paint Sprayer works well when used to paint corners, cracks and crevices. Another important thing to note is that you need to thin the pain as per the instructions. You could do well by testing the spray on cardboard first to get an idea of how much paint actually comes out. Check for leaks in gun connections and hoses.

Verdict
If you have decided to spend a hundred dollars, you might want to spend it on an air compressor/gun.

I bought 1 spray and in the middle of the payment process it asked me if I want to upgrade for $9 so I did. When I submitted the payment it did not gave me a total. I was waiting for the total amt. on my email but did not get it. I checked my bank acct and they charged me $111.43 for 1 spray and 2 more payments of $33. They said I ordered 2. They overcharged me at least $65 I called them and they won’t give my money back.

  2. Carol Ann says:

I was considering getting one, but I look at all the reviews and not one good comment!!! Something is wrong here, don’t you think?…:(

  3. 2013 NFL Game jerseys says:

After I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new feedback are added- checkbox and now each time a remark is added I get 4 emails with the identical comment. Is there any method you possibly can take away me from that service? Thanks!

  4. freddy incle says:

Where can I buy a hose? mine broke

  5. Jim Valentino says:

I too was interested in purchasing another paint sprayer, saw the paint zoom ads and searched for reviews. I came across many professionally done promotions for PaintZoom that pretended to be reviews, some with direct links to PaintZoom’s sales page. This is pure deception, disguising a promo or commercial as a review. I am afraid to buy from a company that bases its sales on deceiving the customer. I think I will stick with Wagner or Graco, companies with a reputation.

To get honest opinions, I found that I had to search under “PaintZoom complaints” rather than reviews. That is how I found this site.

  6. desmond harding says:

Dear Sir, I do not have a problem with the spray gun. The only thing is the paint cup has broken and I need a replacement..also I would like direct contact with Paint Zoom.

  7. barbara DEAK says:

I bought a paint zoom off of eBay from Diwash Khadka and it was a piece of junk. I started spraying and the hose melted off of the machine so that was the end of it. I felt like I threw away $80.00 because I could not use it after that. I ended up having to hand paint 7 doors; I won’t be buying anything off eBay again if that is what kind of things you get.

  8. Steve says:

I checked their online site and while watching their video, they had some salesman push the product with a pop-up in windows before the video was over. The paint they were using in the demo is quite thin and nobody is using any safety gear online or on the commercial. They even have kids on the commercial using it without a mask. It looks like their motivation is to sell the product rather than provide quality.

  9. Susan says:

I DID WRITE A BAD REVIEW AND SAID WHAT I FELT..ONLY. THIS WEB-SITE WOULDN’T PRINT THE TRUTH..FORGET YOU!

  10. Susan says:

I was going to order Paint zoom but, after reading the reviews, forget it..Some of the reviews are right..I am so tired of pointless China junk produced out of China..Where labor is almost nothing and we America’s get wrapped up in the scheme of overseas junk..And, let’s not forget all the corporations over there only for AMERICAN’S to lose their jobs..No, we didn’t work for cheap..In addition, don’t try to sell me cheaply made products from overseas that you wouldn’t even buy yourselves…Please, stop underlying us AMERICAN…WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH, THANK-YOU, SUSAN..

  11. I saw an infomercial about this painting device called ‘Paint Zoom’ on television. Now, I am a person who does a lot of research before I actually buy any product online. And as usual I started digging different sites for Paint Zoom reviews. I came across numerous sites where I could find these reviews – paintzoomexposed.com, paintzoomreviewed.com, painttoolsreviews.com, paintzoomfacts.net. All these sites seemed to be professionally made, having loads of information about the product. The first thing I did was look for reviews to see how other people felt about this product. Apparently, I found the testimonials to be a sham. All the reviews posted on the sites were made up just for the sake of optimizing their website. No mention about the features, price or brand comparison. It just had one button at the end of each review – ‘Buy Now’.

But being a smart shopper, I decided to continue my research. Finally, I landed on this site where I learnt some facts about this product. I realized that Paint Zoom is probably a good idea for home makers like me. Although the product contained a one year manufacturer warranty with a money back guarantee, I kept my decision on hold for sometime. I am now thinking of going to a store for seeing the product demo, before I actually buy it.

    • You are really a smart shopper. We should never get involved in fake testimonials and take hasty decisions. Always buy a product which increases the value for your hard earned money. All the best!

    • drmom5 says:

I left a message on one of those fake sites saying that I don’t trust companies who have to resort to that. There’s reports of them not honoring the money-back guarantee.

  12. Michell says:

STOP BUYING PRODUCTS MADE IN CHINA, THEY DON’T HAVE QUALITY CONTROL, PLUS EVERY TIME YOU BUY A PRODUCT MADE IN CHINA, AN AMERICAN LOST HIS(HER) JOB.

    BUY MADE ONLY IN AMERICA.

  13. Michell says:

I was going to buy the product, but when I read it is made in CHINA,, I do not buy product manufactures in CHINA.
First, in CHINA they don’t have quality&safe control.

Second, our country is in bad shape now because everything is made in CHINA, so we don’t had product manufactures here. People like me lost our jobs because that. STOP buying any product made in CHINA.

  14. Paint Zoom Question says:

does paint zoom leave dust when painting a ceiling

    • Risto says:

The paint zoom is not recommended for ceilings you will get more on yourself than the floor. Also the way it works by tilting the container upside down pointing at the ceiling the pickup tube will not be in the paint.

Rent a commercial unit for ceiling paint.

  15. Paint Zoom Paint Sprayer Question says:

why don’t they use masks with the paint zoom?

    • Risto says:

They do not use masks because they are marketing to people that are impulse buyers. In the literature they say you must wear protective mask and clothing because there might be over spray.
I have used it and there is over spray and if you adjust the spray to be a fine mist you better wear a mask or you will be breathing the paint.

The spray is minimal when the tool is adjusted correctly for the viscosity of the paint and the over spray is minimized. I have painted with the paint zoom for the past month and I was surprised how little paint got to my shoes. This is assuming you point the sprayer forward and not down.

I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of work when the tool and the paint are adjusted properly. This is not a tool for just anyone it requires some trial and error to get it right.

  16. Chris says:

My wife saw this Paint Zoom Paint Sprayer on TV and thought we should purchase this as she wants the Garage door painted. I thought I’d check online for reviews. I am so happy I found your site. I will not be purchasing this product after reading all the reviews. Thank you for putting the truth out there.

  17. Paint Zoom Info says:

Your Paint Zoom comes with a user manual which is very important for you to read before you start using your Paint Zoom.

Paint Zoom includes the paint zoom spray gun, a paint container, a viscosity cup to measure and thin the paint, a hose, and the motor base.

Assembling the included objects is very simple and easy.
    1. Screw the paint container onto the paint gun
    2. Attach one end of the hose to the back of the gun and the other end to the motor base
    3. Plug it in and Paint Zoom is ready for use

    Surface and Job Preparation
Before you begin your painting job always make sure the surface to be painted is completely clean and dust free so as to deliver the great painting results.

Painting with paint zoom does not over-spray and does not produce paint mist but it is always better to cover the surfaces that you would like to keep paint free. You can do this with the help of a drop cloth and also tape off all moldings, outlets, and window frames etc.

Always make sure that you wear eye protection and a face mask while doing the job.

You can also refer to the user’s manual for all the safety information before you start using the Paint Zoom.

After you have cleaned the surface to be painted then you will need to prepare the paint.

Preparing to Paint with the Paint Zoom
Test the viscosity of the paint. This means to check how thick the paint is. To test the viscosity of the paint simply dip the viscosity measuring cup into the paint and time how long you take to empty the paint completely from the cup.

If it takes a longer time for the cup to empty completely than mentioned in the instruction manual you will have to thin the paint.

The indicated time for the Paint Zoom and the Paint Zoom Deluxe is 50 seconds and the indicated time for the Paint Zoom Platinum is 90 seconds.

If you need to thin the paint then first dilute with a 10% dilution and that is 10% water and 90% paint, stir and test the viscosity again and add more water if you need to.

When its time to fill the paint simply place your finger over the spout of the viscosity cup, fill it with water, let it drain into your mixing container and then stir it. Repeat this process till the paint reaches the desired viscosity.

The next step is to strain the paint. Since Paint Zoom is a motorized paint spray you will have to ensure that your paint is particle free as possible. To strain the paint simply place your paint strainer over the mouth of your Paint Zoom container and then pour the thinned and measured paint through it.

Other materials like stain and varnish rarely need to be thinned. You can refer to the thinning chart in the user’s manual for more details.

All your paint preparations can be done in separate containers like a bucket. If you need to order extra container sets you can do it at http://www.paintzoom.com.

Be sure to test your paint before starting your paint job. You can do this by spraying a little paint on a piece of cardboard or scrap wood to give you some practice to work on the distance and flow rate of the paint.

To spray paint on a higher level such as the top of the wall or ceiling make sure to angle the suction tube toward the rear of the paint container and to spray paint on a lower surface you should angle the suction tube toward the front of the paint container. This will help reduce the wastage of paint.

Paint Zoom features a spray patent adjuster that allows you to perform multiple types of projects. The spray pattern adjuster has three positions: horizontal, vertical, and spot jet.

Setting the nozzle vertically is perfect for wide surfaces like walls, or floors, the horizontal position is great for ceilings and wood slabs like fences, and the spot jet setting is ideal for corners and other hard to reach areas.

    Paint Zoom Tips
Paint Zoom should always be kept the same distance from the surface you are painting as you go along and overlap your strips to avoid dead space. The recommended distance is 8-10 inches which will give you the maximum paint width.

First apply a thin coat and the wait for it to dry and then apply the second coat to give you better results. To make the paint flow even, ensure that there is very little movement in your wrist. Professional painters use the criss cross technique while painting. The criss cross technique means spraying the paint in horizontal strips then adjusting the air cap and then crossing over the strips with vertical strips.

Be sure to make sure your passes smooth and the speed should stay constant. This will speed up the process of painting a large wall.

The Paint Zoom features a nifty little dial at the back to adjust the intensity of the paint flow from the gun. When turned clockwise the paint flow decreases and when turned anticlockwise the paint flow increases.

When spraying closer to the surface the paint flow should be lighter and when spraying from a distance the paint flow should be increased. To give you maximum coverage paint in sections 20 inches long and make sure not to stop and start painting.

    Paint Zoom Cleaning
Always make sure to keep the Paint Zoom clean to deliver professional results. This can be done by keeping the spray gun clean so that paint colors don’t get mixed together and the flow is smoother.

While painting if you need to change your paint then simply clean your paint gun and keep it working by unscrewing the paint container and if there is any paint left over store it in a sealed container for use later.

Fill your paint container with warm water; attach it to the gun, and then press the trigger on your paint gun and let the water run into a bucket so your spray gun does not have any paint left in it.

When you are done with your painting job deep clean your Paint Zoom. Detach the spray gun completely and soak each individual part in hot soapy water for water based paints or in thinners for oil based paints.

    Paint Zoom Troubleshooting
You may also face a few simple problems while using your Paint Zoom.
If the paint is too thick there may be uneven splattered coverage so try thinning or straining the paint and for coverage that is too light spray slower and move closer to your surface or simply increase the paint flow.

If you face drip problems then simply increase your distance from the surface or thin your paint.

If you notice air bubbles then your surface temperature is too cold and there are air pockets in your paint. This can be avoided by reducing the viscosity and doing the painting job in warmer weather.

If there is a leak from your spray gun this means that the container might be loose and needs to be tightened.

  18. Risto says:

I purchased the Paint Zoom and did not use it for a month. It is made cheep and the unit I received had a manufacturing fault the hose connecting to the gun would pop off and air was escaping from it so there was not enough pressure to push the paint. I fixed the problem by wrapping some masking tape on the connecting parts and that solved the problem. I tried calling them and left messages even communicated on the web chat line but the girl on the other end did not know very much about the unit or was willing to help.

After I got the unit working it actually does a pretty good job. I am painting the kitchen cabinets and the fact that the zoom does not attomize the paint but just push it. This make it cleaner and it does not make as much of a mess as the compressor type sprayers. I have used both and the paint zoom is clean. Do not be fooled by the video adds you have to wear protective clothing a mask and you must put down something on the floor if you do not want to have a paint drops every where.

The finished job looks great and the mess is less. I did not paint the cabinet doors mounted in the kitchen ( you have to be crazy to do that) I removed them and had an area in my basement surrounded by plastic to make sure no paint sprayed in places I did not want it to go. I was first wearing a full spray suit but found out that I did not needed since very little paint goes back towards the gun and since there is little atomization the overall over spray is minimal.

The most important thing in order to have the Paint Zoom work is thin the paint according to the instructions, test the spray on a cardboard to get the feel for how much paint comes out and make sure there are no leaks in the hoses and the gun connections. Remember this is a poorly made product but the concept is great I wish I had this when I refinished my bedroom furniture. I used a compressor painter and it really make a mess.

    Have fun
PS the customer support sucks and I can’t find out how to buy spare parts for this unit.

I THINK THERE SHOULD BE A WAY TO SHUT DOWN ANY AND ALL PEOPLE THAT TRY TO SELL BULL…. OVER THE AIRWAVE

  20. Chiquita Moorehead says:

I want my money back and I will get it back. I didn’t even finish the phone call and you still charged me but you know what I know tricks to and you will refund me my money cause I was not the one on the phone this was unauthorized.

Don’t be sucked in by all of this garbage coming from the east coast, the bulk of the telemarketing scams . These tv commercial is less than $100.00 to air, yet reaches thousand of what they think of as stupid, dumb, easy to sucker. And they are right .

    DON’T BE A FOOL!

  22. Stacey says:

Thanks for all the honest Paint Zoom Paint Sprayer reviews. I was considering purchasing this product. Now I will just rent a paint sprayer from our local rental company.

  23. Paul says:

What is a good alternative to Paint Zoom?

  24. waycee says:

    product…well I’ll make it easy…IT STINKS

  25. Frederick says:

I ordered the Paint Zoom Paint Sprayer with reservation since most late night telemarketing is a trap. The Zoom order line, which is computer based, is full of such traps. The worst I’ve experienced! Without realizing it, suddenly the caller is “trapped” into ordering magazines and other merchandise. The menu options and choices will not allow you to exit. The computer voice keeps repeating: “how many do you want?” When you keep shouting “NO” – the electronic voice takes on a disappointed, even scolding tone then asks you to reconsider and the entire option menu is repeated again and again. You wind up shouting “No – No – No.” But, in some cases, NO is not an option. There is no running tally of the amount being charged to your credit card as various “upgrades” are presented nor a total for the order upon completion. I did receive the Paint Zoom within the specified time but, upon inspecting the invoice, I was overcharged $99.00 for upgrades I did not authorize. The product, itself, is no better than a similar cheap airless paint sprayer available elsewhere. The fan unit gets hot after 20 to 30 minutes use. The spray pattern is adequate as long as the nozzle does not clog. Paint consistency is also important in keeping the unit functioning properly. Customer service, as noted in other comments, is poor. Receiving little satisfaction, I contacted our state attorney general consumer protection office and the local media, suggesting that they try ordering the Paint Zoom and learn how the computer “order taker” traps customers into buying magazines, upgrades and other worthless crap.

    • Chiquita Moorehead says:

I understand what Frederick is saying, I wish I have come to these complaint first. They do have an voice on the phone that wont let you get a word in and I kept saying NO NO NO , I only wanted the item I was trying to order but as Frederick was saying the voice kept saying would you consider buying this and that, so I just hung the phone up. I don’t know if my order was complete or not and I just did this Friday night over the. I want to talk to customer service but I don’t see a number to call them being I hung the phone up I never reach the end of the phone call but these people no everything about you with just a phone call and they have your address and everything, you don’t even have to give them your name cause they have that to. So since I just called them Friday and I cant reach no one to cancel this order just in case it went through I’m going to cancel my card and report an unauthorized order just to make sure it want go through.

I received my package yesterday 6/15/11. I ORDERED 6/2/11, the DVD is broken! Please send new one asap,

  27. SinNombre says:

This Paint Zoom Paint Sprayer gets super hot in no time, really if you are going to spend a hundred bucks you might as well go air compressor/gun.

  28. Joe says:

DO NOT BUY – PAINT ZOOM IS WORTHLESS CRAP AND POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FAKE. Try to google “Paint zoom reviews” and you’ll see 99.99% of them are fake. Any company that needs to launch a massive campaign of staged customer reviews should be avoided like the plague. THEY’RE BASICALLY RUNNING A SNAKE OIL SCAM.

  29. john says:

I received My Paint Zoom in just a couple of days. I did opt for the more powerful motor. My primary (only) us for it is base coating my craft items. It works fine for this. Note that I do have a negative pressure paint room as part of my shop. This prevents any paint from migrating around. The same is true for my airbrush work. This thing works like a giant double action airbrush. Just be sure to use a mask, keep your viscosity consistent, strain the paint, maintain the temperature and don’t rush it. It is easy to clean and remember… Practice makes perfect.

  30. Paul G says:

Seems like I thin my Leytex paint a lot but it seem to keep spitting what was the cause? And I even clean the tip. And I even used the viscosity
cup to check the paint and strainer.

  31. Jordana says:

I have been searching and searching the web for reviews on this Paint Zoom and it was very hard to find this site where the REAL reviews are listed. Every other review out there is “staged” by the people that sell the product. You can tell it’s a complete “set-up!” The review is full of links to buy the product and when you try to close out of it, it traps you there and tries to convince you to stay and buy. Worse than the old “Used Car Salesman” technique! If you have to lie and cheat people to make the sale it’s definitely not a great product. Anything that works great sells itself – word of mouth is still powerful. Thanks!

  32. Tracy says:

Everyone, please DO NOT reply to Stephen. He claims he wants to do business with someone in the US…He is a SCAMMER. Stay away with a 50ft pole!!!

  33. Vincent Loxton says:

This has been a bad experience from the start and I have not even received the product yet. Customer service representatives cant even speak proper english !After reading all the bad reviews I have decided to cancel my order. The prices they are quoting me over the phone are not what they advertise.

  34. Balfour Wallace says:

What about clean-up? What do you use? Does it depend on the type of paint that you use? Most paints can be cleaned up with water but what about stains?

    • Risto says:

Read the label it will tell you what to use. Latex and acrylic are water based anything with petroleum by products you have to use mineral spirits or turpentine. There are water based stains and polyurethanes but most are petroleum based.

  35. CHARLES BEISSEL says:

Get a good airless spray gun or you are going to be cleaning your whole house for weeks. The mist from a non airless compressor type spray gun puts a fine dust in the air for weeks that you cannot see and travels through the air into every nook and cranny in your house and into closets also. Not only to mention your lungs for weeks. I did it and sealed off the room for 2 days and I though I was ok. The dust I could not see set on every thing in my house. It was a disaster.

  36. Marvin says:

When I tried to purchase this product, the website kept BUMPING up the prices with UPGRADES. I cannot comment on the truthfulness of the character of this product, but PAINT ZOOM’s MARKETING is a S-C-A-M. They charged my credit card WITHOUT me completing the online purchase process, and NEVER confirmed the sale or the shipping!!!

  37. RODEO says:

Nope it doesn’t work. It is stupid, you need about 2 to 3 cans to finish off one whole wall. Its a lie dont believe it, dont be a fool! Economy sucks right now so dont believer everything anyone thats trying to sale you products.

  38. Amy k says:

Piece of crap. “Made in China” right on the package was the first warning. The machine itself/the concept works great, Unfortunately the parts and pieces are flimsy and poorly made. Hose’s male end snapped off within 30 minutes of use–there goes the air supply! The fine mist this thing produces is almost magical– somehow the mist travels behind you when you use it. Be sure to tape everything within 10 feet of the wall. Strongly suggest getting one at Home Depot–for probably less $$. ughhhh…should have known better.

  39. Todd says:

I bought this Paint Sprayer Pro couple of week ago. Shipping time was faster than I expected. The assembly is easy. But the quality of the item is crap. The hose that connects to both end get loose really easy> I use super glue and tape secure it. The motor get really loud/ hot after a while of using it. It I give this a 2 out of 10. I was painting two 20×20 place. My brother using regular roller / brush finish twice as fast.

You can forget about painting the ceilings. This item suck for ceiling job. The only thing good about this items is that it paint really well for crack and corner.

  40. haydee says:

Is it hundred percent money back?

  41. Stephen says:

    Hi Sir/Madam
I’m from Kenya and would wish to buy this product. Kindly tell me how to go about. If I want a big quantity to sell in Kenya, how can we do business with you.

    Best regards.

  42. Simone says:

Can the Paint Zoom Sprayer be used for ceilings?

    • paul says:

This sprayer is for vertical surfaces only. Floors and ceilings;forget it. Produces an ultra fine mist that gets on anything around the paint area.

      • Risto says:

Your setting are not right if you get mist then you are spraying too thin turn the knob at the back so that the spray gets thicker that way you do not atomize the paint this is not a compressor type sprayer it is more of a paint pusher. You will always get some over spray no mater what tool you use even rollers, you have to protect the ares you do not want paint to go.
