Biggest scam I have ever seen! Good luck getting your money back! I am so furious with this company right now!
I was enticed to the TryCoverMate website by an ad in the coupons section from my Sunday paper. I thought I was going to learn about and possibly buy their product. I decided to go with the 12pc deluxe set ‘buy 1 get 1 free’ option. There were more and more offers and no way of finding out the cost of the order. How can it cost $7.90 to ship a $5.99 product? When I got an email of my order, the total came to $56.60! It appears that I ordered 3 12pc deluxe sets for a total of $41.75. That is $17.97 for 3 sets and a shipping cost was $23.70. I didn’t get a single free set. I thought that I was buying 1 unit for $5.99 and getting another one free. Since I thought I was getting a good deal – not – I went ahead and added the 22 piece combo pack and the dishwasher hoops.
There was no way to check my Cover Mate order. In fact, I wasn’t even sure that I had made an order until I found the email message. I called to cancel the order, and was told that the order was not in their computer yet. How can it be in my computer and not be in their computer? I was told that I would have to call back in 3 days. As fast as they got this order to my email, I can’t imagine that it won’t be shipped before I can cancel the order. I wonder if I could cancel the payment to them from my credit card?
DO NOT BUY COVERMATE COVERS FROM THEIR WEBSITE! I placed an online order & I was to only be charged $3.99 for shipping. Well…..I was charged $41.67 & when I called the company to cancel my order I was told that I would have to wait 24-48 hours & call back, because the order had not even uploaded to the system yet. I called back the following day (less than 24 hours after the order was placed) & the order had already shipped!!!! They would not work with me at all. They told me that I would have to wait until I received the product and then return the item to them for a full refund. The lady I spoke with on the phone actually HUNG UP ON ME!!!
THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL SCAM ~ DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!
I’ve been trying to cancel my order for these Covermate covers for 2 days now and it’s impossible to get a customer service rep. I’ve sent 3 emails and they all come back saying that I need to wait 2 days from order. Today is the second day. I waited and called your 800 number and now a Mr. JIM tells me that I can tell the mailman that I will not accept the order Why do you say to wait 2 days and now you tell me it’s shipped. I want you to retrieve this order and credit my credit card.
