To Whom It May Concern:
In April 2010, I ordered 3 sets of the CanTastic system with the additional Smart Lidz. I was so shocked by the resultant $316.14 price tag, as a result of which I experienced some financial hardship, that I am just opening them today. My first inclination was to retain a lawyer because I feel seriously taken advantage of, but, as a widowed teacher in this economy, I was unable to do that. So, I’m writing to you for what I hope will be a viable explanation of the exorbitant shipping and handling/processing fees that I have incurred. (I realize that I could have returned the items, but, I assume because I needed the items and was so taken aback by the cost, that didn’t occur to me at the time.)
The shipping and processing/handling fee for each of the 3 CanTastics I purchased was $23.85, with additional fees of $8.85 and $9.99 for the Smart Lidz. On your website, the shipping and handling/processing fee is recorded as “$15.90, including Smart Lidz s/h)”. No amount of arithmetic I can do with these amounts results in $23.85, especially since the s/h for the Smart Lidz is supposed to have been included in the $15.90 (which amount also seems extravagant, to me, based upon other merchandise I have purchased online and by telephone.). With all of these items being packed into a single box, I am further confused as to why shipping and handling/processing was so expensive.
I would very much like an explanation that I can understand and believe regarding this issue.
