The federal government mandate has made it compulsory for all broadcasters to switch over from analog to digital broadcast and transmit a digital TV signal cable over the air, which offers superior visual and audio quality than analog. The ClearTV antenna receives over-the-air digital and HD signals for free. Broadcasters can offer multiple programming choices on a single channel, or sub channels.

ClearTV translates into non-stop hours of entertainment and infotainment of free digital TV without having to pay cable or satellite bills every month!

ClearTV Antenna Frequently Asked Questions

What is Clear TV?
Clear TV is nothing but an antenna that receives over-the-air digital and HD signals. Earlier, television channels had been on analog broadcast, which have now switched over to digital as per a government directive, which has made it mandatory for television broadcasters to convert from analog to digital broadcast. Now, only digital signals are available over the air in the United States and Canada. The digital system transmits better visual and audio signals than analog can.

Can ClearTV fit all TV sets?
ClearTV is compatible with all televisions that have an (Antenna IN or a Cable IN) port at the back of the television. After May 25, 2007, all television sets sold have to have an ATSC (Digital) tuner built-in and receive digital broadcasts. Television sets manufactured prior to that may have a menu option for scanning digital channels, in which they have digital ATSC tuner facility. If you find ‘ATSC’ written, they are ATSC enabled, else you will need to purchase a converter box.

What are the benefits of ClearTV?
ClearTV transmits digital broadcast, which offers far better audio and visual quality and television viewing as compared to analog broadcast. It puts an end to satellite service bills and exorbitant cable charges that you shell out every month. The antenna is easy to install and beams best quality picture. ClearTV brings you uninterrupted free HD TV viewing which means watching free HD TV and all your favorite channels forever.

What about the picture quality of ClearTV as compared to that of cable?
The ClearTV antenna transmits best quality HD signals which cable companies do not as they compress their HD signals. It results in degradation of signal which is of lower quality as compared to OTA broadcast.

How many channels does ClearTV offer?
You can watch all your favorite channels including movies, sports, news, entertainment, weather and more. Digital television allows broadcasters to offer multiple programming choices on a single channel (sub channels) which had greatly broadened the choice for people.

Most households can receive these popular networks such as NBC,PBS, FOX, CBS, ABC, ION, 24 hour sports programming, a 24 hour classic movie channel, 24 hour news and weather channel, popular Spanish-language channels and more.

Is it possible for me to add more cable to my Clear TV?
Yes, if you need to shift your Clear TV to a location which the cable connected to your antenna cannot, you can connect an extension cable and enjoy your ClearTV as per your wish.

Is the ClearTV reception totally clear?
While you are guaranteed superior quality reception of pictures, it may vary on account of certain factors. The location of the broadcast, huge buildings, geographical features like hills and tall trees can affect reception. For best results, you need to be within 25 to 30 miles of a broadcast antenna.

Does ClearTV work outside, in the basement or the attic?
Clear TV is basically an indoor antenna hence it’s recommended to hang Clear TV on the inside of an exterior wall or window facing the broadcast towers. Please avoid keeping it in a basement or attic. You may also need to watch out for excessive moisture or temperature extremes to protect your antenna.

Is Clear TV compatible with DVR or TIVO?
Yes, Clear TV very much works with TiVo and other digital video recorders (DVR). Clear TV is a HD antenna hence you can receive an HD broadcast signal easily.

What should I do if I can’t receive proper signal with Clear TV?
If you aren’t receiving proper signal with ClearTV, you can check the exact distance from your residence to the nearest transmitters. Visit antennaweb.org and type in your address to get an idea about the nature of reception at your house and try being in close proximity of a broadcast antenna.

What do I get?
If you compare the amount you spend on cable or satellite TV with ClearTV antenna, you’ll be surprised to see how much you save with ClearTV. While you spend around $80 per month on cable or satellite TV, the free digital TV costs only $19.95 with additional postage and handling. Official website BuyClearTV.com

I live more than 35 miles from broadcast tv station. I can’t pick up any signal using clear tv.

  2. Ron says:

People, if it sounds to good to be true it usually is. First off they advertise I can watch all my favorite channels. My question is, how do they know what those channels are? How can an antenna give me something I pay for? Everyone would have it and the price would be much higher. If you have wireless internet, purchase roku. Unless you like watching live sports, it’s great.

  3. kpig5 says:

I have read the reviews and for myself I receive all local stations very clear with little interference and I live in the country where I couldn’t get stations before. people need to realize they are buying a tv antenna not cable or satellite common sense should tell you are not going to get tnt, tbs, espn, fx, etc. just so it is known I do not work or ever been employed by clear tv. all 3 antennas do just fine for me it is just what they are antennas.
    hope this helps.

  4. anthony says:

don’t spend your hard earned dollars on this scam. I tried two completely different tv,s and even a neabours but on none did I get not even one station all fuzz but no clear anything. So if you are hooked on getting free tv get a regular antenna with a roter then you,ll be fine that was my solution and by the way I do know the difference between uhf and vhf and it did not work on any not even when I set it up one channel at a time so save up for a real antenna and don’t waiste it here my antenna only cost 12.00 and with the roter was just 20.oo more but I now get over 50 stations thanks.

    • julie says:

Anthony please tell me what kind of antenna to get and what is a rotter? I dont know what to buy so please tell me what and where to buy this thank you. julie.karge@yahoo.com

      • Chuck says:

Julie, a roter is a rotation motor that “rotates” an outdoor antenna various directions, depending on which broadcast transmitter you want to use for your television program choice. Instead of a “straight pipe” to which an outdoor antenna is attached, this rotor is instead attached to the “straight pipe”, and then a short second/auxiliary pipe extends another 3-4 feet into the air, and the antenna itself attached to the second/auxiliary pipe. Using an attached console inside your home (next to the TV), you remotely rotate the antenna until you get a good picture. It’s what I use at my home.

        • Jane says:

I cannot afford Cable anymore, just got a notice we are going to have to buy another box for Digital or something, I am 80 and on a budget and want to get a rotary antenna. However, I cannot find anyone to install it. Being an 80 yr old woman I cannot do it. Would have 10 yrs ago but now a little slowed down!!! Before cable I had a rotary and it was fine so I am sure they are improved. How does one find a company that sells and installs. I have looked in our phone book and on the internet but nothing comes up.

  5. chelly says:

I bought clear tv antenna and it cost me $28 but here’s my problem. I did plug it directly into my tv, placed the clear tv antenna onto my window, nearest the tv but it wont come in. I cant use my remote to change the channels to even see, if it works! My TRU FLAT RCA tv, isnt very old about 6 yrs maybe? I do run the tv thru my VCR, I have a DS CONVERTER…..do I need to unhook my VCR every time i want to watch tv? My remote for my tv, has a ” front, video and dvd button”, that I switch to either watch tv or dvd’s or VCR movies. That’s it and volume of course! I have a separate remote for my DVD player! Do I need another REMOTE for the converter?… my son is very good at hooking these things up, but said he thot i needed a universal remote?).AS FAR AS I can tell I have everything I need, just plug in the clear Tv antenna to my tv, cable line on back of TV and go, right? WHY DOESNT IT WORK??? you tell me!!!??@!@!!!?? I am not happy about this! There are shows Im missing becoz I ony get about 8 channels with my converter. I cant even get ABC channel!

    • chelly says:

ANNNNND… The only cable company my place will let me use is COX CABLE. No SATELITE DISHES…PERIOD! AND COX CABLE TO WAY TOO EXPENSIVE..I CANT AFFORD IT. EXACTLY WHY I decided to purchase the CLEAR TV!

      • chelly says:

If its not going to work AT ALL, then I WANT MY MONEY BACK! I GET ABOUT 8 CHANNELS WITH JUST MY CONVERTER. I was hoping with CLEAR TV, Id add a few more stations, maybe TNT or ABC at least??? That’s alll I really wanted!

  6. Karen W. says:

I thank God I never followed through on ordering. I purchased an antenna from Groupon for less than $8.00 pull anywhere from 37 to 42 free channels , happy not stressed.

  7. seriously!?!?!?? says:

You people do realize that this is just a basic tv antenna???? You can get antennas at walmart for 5 bucks, there is no such thing as an hd antenna any antenna can give you an hd picture if the signal is transmitted in hd. Literally any antenna you screw into the back of your tv will do what the clear tv antenna can do…..you people can’t be this stupid…..

    • Wonder Woman says:

      Seriously,

Why do you have to be so mean?! People don’t realize that any old antenna will do the same thing the Clear antenna is claiming they can do. At least they are less than Mohu! Did you ever think of that?! Speaking of “any old antenna,” Mohu gets far more channels than “any old antenna” I have ever tried.

Don’t be cruel, people ask questions because they want to know. You should not put people down for reflecting on this (gimmick) and asking questions.

      • Inquire Minds says:

Wonder Woman you are right. Its no reason for anyone to be so cruel. We are on here to find information about the product so that shows that we have some kind of sense. I thank everyone for the input because the commercial do sound convincing.

    • DA says:

That is not true. Now I have a buddy who switched from his old regular antenna to the Clear TV antenna. He can now see all of his channels clearly and the ones he wasn’t getting that he was suppose to be getting, he now can. I tried hooking a regular old antenna up to my HDTV and could not get a signal at all

  8. daNN Littel says:

Thank you, thank you to all the people that took the time to leave a reply about the clear TV. I just received Brighthouse yesterday and was truly going to order this product after seeing their commercial. It only took reading a few of the negative reviews to change my decision. Again, thank you for taking the time to write a review. You really helped me decide not to waste my money and my time.

    Have a rainbow day!

  9. Thanks again to all the people who posted their Reviews – or +. We need to continue doing the same thing going forward on all meaningful purchases so that we can stop these type of rip-offs of common people. Was getting ready to purchase one, but needless to say not anymore. Houston, you can buy most “As Seen On TV” products off Walgreens and Wal-Mart shelves. This would have been the option I utilized. Mind I said would have, not anymore. If the BBB does not stop it, I think this has proven with our collective “voices & fingers” we will stop the SCAM….Be Blessed on purpose!!!!

  10. Herman says:

It’s surprising the BBB hasn’t spotted and posted this LIE ALREADY at their business site unless they have at the time of this e-post.

I went a purchased it, IN PERSON THANK GOD, ’cause what I’ve read HERE ON THIS SITE AND ANOTHER, that people was being debited over $160 from their card from their account despite the commercials said they are only charging slightly over $30.

I installed Clear TV CRAP on my wife & mine respective TVs BUT “NO SIGNAL” was detected whatsoever DESPITE we live in a three-mile radius of an extremely powerful news affiliate and it’s somewhat-rival station. Our old rabbit ears are hundred times better than this train wreck so folks, IF you see any Clear TV CRAP package on a display shelf, RUN and DON’T LOOK BACK.

My Grade: “F” and I’m sure the BBB will give a very similar grade very soon.

    • Ekim Sevard says:

Do you Really Think you are going to get 100 Channels from a $20.00 Antenna,? Get a Life!! If Some One Wants To Buy A $20.00 Antenna & Then Kick it to the Curb!? Let them Be the FOOL!!! Get IT? GOT IT! GOOD!!!

  11. AMA says:

I am sitting here watching a very convincing infomercial about this item. After reading several posted comments I feel I am now able to make an informed decision. I will not be spending my money on this product. Thanks to all of you who post took the time to review this product.

  12. Denise Qualo says:

It does not work, I want the full amount back.

  13. G.b says:

I BOUGHT IT AND IT DIDN’T WORK AT ALL. JUST JUNK. SENT IT BACK ,LOST MY MONEY ON SHIPPING AND IT COST ME $5.00 TO SEND IT BACK, SO I LOST $21.00 IN ALL. EVER AGAIN ,DON’T BUY.

  14. John morrison says:

They won’t be getting my business!!

  15. John morrison says:

Guys thanks for the word on this company they won’t be getting my business!!

  16. victor p says:

What a piece of garbage. I have a digital tv. All I get is a snowy picture. Don’t waste your money. I feel like I got ripped off big time.

  17. um says:

Umm… I don’t know if it works BECAUSE MY TV IS APPARENTLY SLIGHTLY OLDER AND I WOULD HAVE TO PURCHASE A SEPARATE PART, BUT KNOW ONE WILL TELL ME WHAT I NEED AND WHERE I CAN GET THAT PART!

    • April says:

You need a digital-to-analog converter box. They sell them here on Amazon. RCA is a good one. You have to get that first and also the antenna and two coaxial cables.

  18. Gary W says:

Do not waist ur money on this product its just a big SCA M UCH BIG LIARS.
GETTIN RICH OFF OF THIS CRAP AND THEY KNO THIS TO B TRUE!.

  19. Gary W says:

No good lies it all this company does you can’t get the local channels they say you can I wouldn’t waste my time with this crap no way to call them and saying its easy to hook up sure but only 3 channels. It should be illegal to sell such a scam, Do not purchase this product!

  20. RODNEY WERLE says:

I ONLY GOT HALVE OF WHAT I ORDERED I DON’T KNOW WHERE THE ANTENNA IS BUT I JUST GOT THE SIGNAL AMPLIFIER I DON’T KNOW HOW TO GET HOLD OF THEM ??

  21. Chris says:

Why didn’t yall have patience and wait for it to be sold in your local Wal-Mart or grocery stores “as seen on tv” products…..I will be buying it here in the near future from them so if it doesn’t work properly, let’s just say I won’t have any problems returning it! :)

  22. Gary says:

I bought this antenna and the way they make it sound like you can get cable channels which you can’t get. The antenna does work very well and I am buying 2 more for my other TVs. All the other antennas I have bought did not get the reception that this one gets. I would usually pickup about 30 something channels but with this antenna I got 38 channels the most of any other antenna. I did have a question after purchasing the unit and cannot get a hold of anyone and finally got an email and sent them an email but never back from them. If you are unsure of how this will work for you I would paid this with a credit card and if you have a problem you can always stop payment on your credit card and your credit card company will give you a phone number to contact them.

  23. daniel mitchell says:

the clear tv antenna really works bringing in channels I couldn’t get with an amplified antenna. it was worth the money I paid for it.

  24. Robin Sawler says:

This is such a scam I don’t know why these people are allowed to rip people off. I paid $46.00 Canadian and they are only willing to give me back $25 and I am unsure I will even get that. I hate these kind of companies they make is so bad for the legit ones. DO NOT ORDER CLEAR TV IT DOES NOT WORK.

    • Meshelle says:

Last night was my 2nd time seeing the infomercial. I wanted to get this for my daughter and thought I might check out some of the reviews on it. Guess I won’t be ordering this. Thanks to everyone that provided information regarding this product. Just in case you might not be aware, there is another avenue you can take when lodging consumer complaints besides the BBB. You can file a complaint with your state’s Attorney General’s office. Hope this helps and sorry for all who were victims to this.

      • Matthew says:

I bought two clear tv antennas and they don’t work at all. Why do the government let these peoples false advertisement let them scam peoples out of money for these thin pieces of plastic? I wish I could find someone to sue them and the government for the problems I am having to get money back when i don’t get even one channel. people on tv lying about how it works someone should of tested it before they sold it to anyone else. Just like the government let people sell bad meat and eggs and they put a sell of approval on it all the money they get and only 1/2 inspecting it i no their not that hard up and not doing their job. Why is the government blocking people from suing them for their money back? if they have confidence in selling it and if it don’t work they should have confidence in giving the money back and some extra for the problems i am having problems getting money back. This is a scam for the government and clear tv to make money. Why don’t the news like fox news talk about this and bring the government and clear tv antenna to justice. fox news is fighting against Mrs Obama for trying to feed kids healthy food.

  25. Roger says:

I ordered 2 Antennas, I bought a new TV. I tried it in every room in the house, I couldn’t get one channel. It is a Scam, Ripoff.

  26. Jeff says:

My sister-in-law had 2 of these antennas so she gave me 1 of them. Hers works very well at her house, and she gets about 8 or 10 channels, but mine only picks up 4 channels. All 4 channels are religious, and 3 of the 4 are Spanish. I’ve written to Clear TV Antenna and asked what I might do to pick up more stations, but they won’t respond.

  27. sheryl says:

I don’t even have my antenna yet but am already disappointed because I absolutely do not like companies that advertise these “wonderful” things and then fail to tell u
that you DON’T GET EVERYTHING YOU NEED for that advertised price. So yes u get the antenna but now u have to buy the booster AND the cable that just so happens to DOUBLE the price. Really? Then, because u already placed your order online, u can’t cancel it without calling and sitting on hold forever. So now I have this antenna coming that I don’t even want anymore because I couldn’t afford to order the rest of the stuff to go with it to actually make it work good. So…. now I will have an antenna that doesn’t work well or I can return it and lose all my money I paid for shipping and handling and plus pay more shipping to return it. What a rip off, this should be illegal. I am so fed up.

  28. Dorsey Barnett says:

I ordered and received the Antenna but I simply couldn’t get it to work, so sending it back.

    • Kay Adkins says:

Even though you are sending it back, you won’t receive the shipping and handling you paid so they are still getting your money. Such a ripoff!

      • Steve Franklin says:

I’m sending them something from my dog back to them in return. Sure, I pay the cost of shipping, but they get a better value from what I send them from my dog.

  29. Regina says:

Thanks to all those who posted the truth, we all know some things are just too good to be true. I spoke to my husband about purchasing this device…I knew it was something to it. I am like the next person you do better off purchasing the device from local stores (ie), big lots, radio shack. Any other place but CLEAR TV.

    • Velia says:

This is the biggest scam It does not work and they do not want to return the money paid. THey lie lie lie. It is not any good and does not pull in any stations that are on the cable stations. I advice all the people not to be fooled and do not purchase this. IT IS A SCAM!!!

      • steve harper says:

Reminds you of the Brooklyn Bridge story, don’t it. If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is to good to be true.

  30. david hamilton says:

what a rip off…it came thru regular mail I paid for separate shipping on the two antenna s and the two 8 ft cables all in a little bitty box . big lots has one for 5 bucks and it works better(just add foil)

  31. ElderAl says:

Wife and I saw the ads on TV. Thought might be good deal. I called their 800-number and got the big info-mercial again thru the phone. Started to order on-line but saw websites slamming the product.

Thank you to the people who posted the truth to offset the hype in the ads !!

  32. Samuel says:

Glad I came to look at this reviews before ordering. Looks like no body has a positive comment about this antenna.

  33. Janet says:

I was interested in getting the Clear Antenna but saw a lot of negative reviews. I have a similar antenna from Costco which cost about $29.00. I must say it does a good job though. It can be placed on wall or window or behind the TV or a picture. Not cheap but it works. It only pulls in the free channels but reception is good and I enjoy 11-2 and 11-3 PBS channels (Chicago area). Probably safer to stick with this and at least know what you’re getting.

  34. Gary says:

Some one bend me over and give me a good swift kick in the butt for having not read the review’s on this Clear TV antenna first. So I was charged almost the same price for shipping and handling and Clear tv told me it was coming by UPS when in fact the antenna’s ( I bought the 2 for 1 deal ) came through the postal service (MAIL)not NOT UPS. Then there was the one time holding fee that took weeks to get back. The first time I connected the antenna to my living room TV it programmed about 8 channels. So I experimented different spot on my window ( I live on the tenth floor and my living room is all glass) and the second time I programmed my flat screen it said I had 27 stations ( only about 9 worked). The theirs the free one I hooked up in my bedroom (again lots of glass ) and I’m lucky if I can get that TV to program maybe 6 channels. So all in all these are junk and was a huge waist of money. And the Radio Shack rabbit ears I originally used worked just as good.

    • Cassey says:

Thank you so much for your and all the other reviews. I was about to order cleartv thinking it would be a small and great investment. But I kept thinking that they say “If it sounds too good to be true, most likely it is.” So glad that I decided to read the reviews first, this is why you don’t really hear anyone else with this. Thank you a million! Cassey

  35. TC says:

I ordered the antennas clear back in February. They said they sent it out and I should get it on Feb. 25, 2014. The package went round and round in the usps system and not coming to me. I wish I had asked for a refund. They sent another antenna out and said I would get it in 3 days. What a laugh! It took a week to get it. When I got it the box was open and in terrible condition. The antennas are a real rip off! I was getting 12 channels with my old antenna and the clear tv antenna only brought in 4. Not worth buying! Terrible shipping and terrible reception! Wish I had never seen them!

    • Dave says:

Who was it that said, “There’s a sucker born a
every minute, and I want his money.’ Looks like there are a lot of “suckers” out there.

    • Janie says:

How true, I tried to cancel my order a few hours after I placed order, was told to call back in 5 hours, I did and was told my order was already shipped, got email and order was send the day after I called. Was lied too. Bad customer service, item does not work, lots off channels half of them have no signal. Please do not order. Wish I had seen these reviews before I ordered. Sure am a sucker.

  36. Vincent says:

Order two and received four clear tv. Not worth returning for refund since you then have to then pay for shipping fee twice as they don’t pay shipping to return. I think this is a scam.

  37. michael says:

I have seen only one good review so far (Mandy) WOW LOL

    • Meshelle says:

Mandy probably works for the company! Sometimes you will find that a company representative will write a positive review in order to decieve others.

  38. Gary says:

After having read the reviews of this product I’m not sure it will even work once I receive them. My BIG complaint was being charged twice for what I later find out was some 1st time holding fee and here I am a week later and not only don’t I have this product yet my checking acct. has not been reimbursed and they told me it was supposed to have been sent : NOT”.

  39. d williams says:

This false advertisement!! I get same old channels. Paid $25.00 dollars for this piece junk. I am very disappoint with this product. it is a piece of junk. it don’t do what it said.

  40. Del says:

I bought an RCA FLAT antenna and it did not work any better than rabbit ears. I bought the LEAF powered antenna and I get between 22 & 31 channels depending on the weather. I am very satisfied with what I get for what I paid. Unamplified antennas are a waste of time

  41. Y.Walton says:

I ordered 2 sets of clear TV. I did not read the reviews before hand. (I should have). I did not get a receipt for this transaction. Everything was automated and you could not talk to a live voice. They tried to get me to buy a lot of other things but I kept saying no!. I looked at my bank statement and saw that they charged me $71.54. When I called they said the shipping and handling charges were $31.95 plus the cost for the 2 antennas($34.90). They charged for each piece S&H. I should have known better than to order anything from TV. They get you every time.

  42. Pat says:

Before anyone purchases this product go to antennaweb.org!! This site will tell you what channels you will be able to receive from your location, then go to purchase the antenna or rabbit ears from a reputable store that accepts returns if it doesn’t work!! You cannot receive cable channels like this ad implies because cable channels are scrambled!! Don’t fall victim to this slick talking infomercial. If you do purchase from them, make sure you purchase with a credit card so when they don’t refund your money you can call your credit card company and report the fraudulent charges and receive a full refund!!

    • bb99 says:

This is good information to have. I was wondering if you would be able to get anything other than local channels and this answered my question. I would only be able to get 7 channels with this device, not near enough to warrant cancelling cable. Too bad too, my cable bill just for TV alone is almost $100.00 a month

Thanks for the website info. It was very, very helpful

    • Frances says:

Thank you so much for this very helpful information.

  43. Mars says says:

1st……when ordering clear tv had to purchase 2 not 1. 2nd…..it DID NOT. Work in any location ( 5 different areas in Ohio ). Called to get money back they would not reimburse me…bad investment. Scam..Scam

    • Michael says:

I was just about to order this “clear TV” and I found the review section and started reading. I live in Lakewood and now I’m so happy I didn’t order this ,sounds like a piece of crap. Thank you for the info.

  44. ambassdor says:

I brought 2 Tv old rabbit ears antenna froorm Goodwill for $4 and I get a very sharp picture and several channels

  45. Donna says:

From what I can find out Clear TV is based in Wallingford Ct you may want to start there.I was going to buy one but after reading the reviews and doing a little more research I quickly changed my mind!

  46. virginia wakeford says:

Finally we’re happy with our TV, we dropped cable, saved a fortune, enjoy a better picture & have now ordered another two Clear TV antennas. It’s as simple as shown on the commercial.

  47. Greg says:

This is merely an antenna people. There is no miracle going on here. You can attach a couple pieces of wire to the back of your tv or use the old fashion rabbit ears and get the same results. There is no difference in receiving an HDTV signal or an analog signal when it comes to the antenna. Only your TV knows the difference between digital and analog signals. You will NOT receive any cable channels. You’ll only get your local TV stations. If you live a hundred miles from a TV station you will NOT receive anything. Save your money. Also, Clear TV please take that smiling idiot off your commercials too. He’s very annoying.

    • carolann says:

tysvm everyone we knew its too good to be true ! thanks for helping some people some money !

THANK YOU ALL FOR INFO ON THIS SCAM ……… …. I had called the number today and could not no way talk to anyone personally. No way !! was I going to give even my credit card info to a machine !! lol so thought i would check it out on the web when i got home. I did and I will NOT waste my Money Ordering Something for nothing. So glad I didn’t talk to any salesperson, I just may have believed their lies ! Lol/smh… The only reason I would suggest to anyone to order this, is if you have no possible way to travel or have any one travel for you to even the dollar store to buy an antenna you need. Sure wish there was a way to get the real info on this out there to people who are not fortunate to search the web or aware of how to check them out otherwise before purchasing something for nothing. Shame on the oh so creative people who put this on the market with intent to deceive others !!!! Shame on those “creative misleading people” !!!!!

    • Stella says:

GREG you are so funny, Thanks for the INFO and the laugh ! Will not purchase !! THANKS AGAIN !!

  48. naniemal says:

Clearview antennas are crap plus they way over charge and send items you didn’t order and you’re completely dealing with an automated system when you call the #800. After I received my cc bill I called customer service (# listed on my cc statement) and complained a person that could hardly speak English, she gave me the wrong mailing address (to return the crap) and said she would email me a copy of the invoice SINCE THERE WASN’T ONE IN THE BOX! I hadn’t given my email address when I ordered them but she read it off to me BUT never sent the invoice. What was supposed to have cost $40+S&H ended up costing me $151. Oh did I mention they’re pieces of crap? My husband finally got fed up and purchased an outside antenna and it didn’t do much for the Clearview! I need to file a report with the BBB! After this experience, I will NEVER order anything advertised on TV again! SCAMMERS!!!!

    • me says:

I need to figure this out because I am gonna have to pay 100 dollars for tv in a year each month if I don’t hook Clear TV antenna up

  49. Andres santos says:

Ok this is my review, I got 2 of this antennas I live in a first floor of a two floor building on 32nd street Brooklyn NY. I only get 5 channels, I sold one of these antennas to my cousin who happen to live on 23 rd street and fourth ave. in a 5th floor apartment looking to Manhattan with nothing to block his view and he is getting more than 70 channels, so I will say the antennas works very good it just depend how far and how high you live.

  50. farmer says:

Sounds like a scam like Huges net, I got Huges net for $80.00 a month, they took 386.00 dollars out of my bank. I canceled my order, I got back $200.00.

  51. anita says:

I was watching this advertisement on TV. Was wondering if it is good in Canada or just United States? What is the cost in Canada for the antenna?

    • Annette says:

I’m not sure what it costs in Canada but, I did find this on this website: http://www.asseenontvonsale.com/gadgets/clear-tv-digital-hd-antenna/
      I hope that helps you.

  52. Dewey Mahaney says:

I received my two Clear Digital TV Antennas a few days at a cost of $38.45, after shipping & handling on the two antennas. I find that their advertising of “Digital TV Antennas” is misleading if not down right fraud! The claim of “Digital” suggests that it receives & converts signals to enable non-digital TV sets the ability to air “Digital” programming…well, it does not! What you receive are two very basic antennas (which you can buy for under $10 from anyone who carries RCA products), which do not convert digital signals to use on non-digital TVs. A digital converter is also needed to view these “free digital programs”! What Clear is selling is basically very standard antennas which can be purchased anywhere…and very adequate ones starting around $10.

I feel the BBB, Attorney Generals Office, or FCC should insist that Clear TV clearly states what their product will & will not do. Feedback please….am I the only person who was led to believe that digital conversion was inherent in this product?!?

    • Mike says:

I doubt that you are the only one..at least that doesn’t think? Common sense will tell you that it doesn’t convert signals! Analog is analog and digital is digital!! Old doesn’t work with new..just keep your eyes open and think! If it sounds too good to be true..it is..you don’t get something for nothing.

    • naniemal says:

No, they ripped me off big time and I think they should be shutdown, put out of business. When I purchased mine it was bogo so I received a total of 4 pieces of crap plus power boosters which I did not order and they only thing they’ve boosted for me so far is my temper since they not worth **** either! When I can verify their location and address, I’ll post it and maybe if enough people complain something will be done about it…….but then we’ll have to depend on our government and we know how that works!

    • justsayin says:

The commercial I saw, they do say that it works with hd tv. they never said it would work with old TVs. Just saying.

  53. Cathy says:

I just have a question. Can this be used with an older TV?

    • Dewey Mahaney says:

Please read my comments above. It can be used for older TVs, if you purchase a digital converter for around $40!!!

      • naniemal says:

NO IT CAN NOT. WE BOUGHT ONE OF THOSE TOO AND NO LUCK!

        • Ray Sanders says:

Thank you Thank to all for your truthful comments, I was about to order 2 of these Antennas. Your comments saved me from being ripped of. Instead I bought 2antennas from our local Wal-Mart $20 a piece and they work perfect. Now everytime I see the ClearTV informercial I want to slap the host to know your ripping off people especially during these hard economica Times and you do it with a smile on your face is SCARY!!! Hope you sleep well at night.

    • gatorgirl says:

yes try a pawn shop first, but cvs and wally world have converters,i have wabbit ears..

  54. Tom says:

Your best bet is probably high speed internet on your computer get HULU PLUS for about $8.00 a month plus tax. Watch what you want, when you want. There is also free HULU, CRACKLE, RETROVISION, WB, and more.

  55. Brian says:

I ordered the Clear TV antenna and wished i had have read the reviews about it before i did. This has to be without a doubt one of the biggest pieces of junk ever produced and it is sold by one of the best snake oil salesmen in the world. What should have made me doubt that this was a product worth buying was when he said he was out in the Gulf of Mexico watching tv on his boat. The infomercial for this product is full of nothing but lies so please if anyone is thinking about buying a Clear TV antenna do not waste your hard earned money and do not buy this.

    • ConnieD says:

I hope that you can get your money back. With all the comments I have been reading I’m thinking that company will be out of business soon. If you were the only one that had a problem with this then I wouldn’t say anything but since there are so many that are unhappy I just say that spreading the word is the best thing to do.

I refuse to order anything off the TV, especially where they want your information. If I want something then I will go to the store and see if they can order it. Then if I’m not happy I can return it to the store. As you said…”hard earned money”. Not something you want to take chances with. Good luck.

    • Bruce says:

LOL, I am cracking up at your comment. I laughed almost as much as I did on Jimmy’s video on you. Funny stuff.

  56. jimmy koiner says:

Your product does not do what you say you tell the public a out right lie. Your antenna has to have a amp to bring in the signal. I ordered two and when I called to check on my order you operator ask why I did not but the amplifier. I ask her what do I need with it , you add says you can get all these channels free. Your operator told me ” you have to have the amp if you are over twenty miles for station cause the antenna will not work over twenty mile distance. ” I have notified my local station of your false commercial and will talk with them again on Feb. 03, 2014. I would like very much to talk to your rep but I know that will not happen. I will report your company to Better business of Oklahoma. You should tell the people the truth. Tell them your Antenna will need an amplifier. It is fraud and you can bet I will do all I can to expose this. I do not expect to hear from you because you know I am telling the truth. You will be hearing from me.

    • Debby says:

Dude-take your phone number off the post!! I agree with your sentiments but man that wasn’t real bright putting your home number in this post

  57. Virgial Bailey says:

Clear TV Antenna doesn’t work any better than other antennas purchased at my local dollar store. I really was hoping it would be better. The best thing about this antenna is the design. I can move it to places the regular antennas are not able to go.

  58. reed brenden says:

This review is honest and also aimed at LOUIS. It seems he is constantly lambasting people for their reviews. He is right about one thing: They are careful about what they promise and what they don’t. BUT….those selling the antenna know EXACTLY hows that infomercial comes across. It is VERY MISLEADING!!!! No they don’t say you can watch sports. They ask people what they watch, and the person gives an answer of sports, then they move on to picture quality. THEY KNOW. It sometimes isn’t what you say, but what you leave out that makes a conversation as CLOSE to a LIE as possible. Louis is right, they never promise anything, but during the entire infomercial, the comparisons are to cable and satellite. NEVER do they say that you will NOT get as many channels as with the other 2, Only that the picture is as clear. VERY MISLEADING, almost like POLITICS, which also should be considered a crime.

    • jimmy koiner says:

yes it does say you can watch your favorite sports and a lot of other lies. the antenna does not work without their amplifier which you have to buy from them. I called to check on my order. I was asked why I did not buy the amplifier. I said why should I your commercial says I can get all these channels free which is another lie. The whole thing is a lie. Watch and pay attention to what they promise before you stand up for them. you are wrong. I cancelled my order.

  59. bernie freifeld says:

I just received my Clear TV antennas Tuesday and hooked them up on the small TV upstairs, and on the 35 inch downstairs in the living room. They work fine. we live in a valley so we didn’t kid ourselves into thinking we would get the upper cable channels, but we get all the network stations plus 3 versions of public television. about ten years ago when we bought this house, the 40 channel cable lineup from Time Warner was getting too pricey and I downgraded my service to the 12 channel basic cable package. for the last ten years, they would call once in a while to ask what they can do to get a larger part of my business back. I told them don’t make us pay for channels we don’t want. they said that was not possible, and I replied then I will stay with the 12 channel package, and when the price of this one keeps going up I will cancel my service. Thank you for giving me good reception, and clear picture for just a small investment. Also, thank you for giving me a reason to tell Time Warner “You’re Done!!!”

    Respectfully Yours

  60. danny says:

total junk!!! do not waste your money

  61. Isabel says:

Had high hopes that this antenna would catch all the channels but I was sorely disappointed.
The RCA that I had before is better. Live and learn.

  62. Pat H says:

Boy glad I read the reviews before I ordered, learned a lot. Thanks guys

  63. Janice says:

I’m currently using a $13 dollar (from Family Dollar store) basic rabbit ears antena to do the exact same thing.

    • desertmike says:

Ok, I live in the boondocks desert near Joshua tree and 29 palms ca. I have the rabbit ears and watched tv for free for years. Then one day, they, the broadcast folks over on a mountain dropped ABC then in six months dropped CBS then dropped NBC then KTLA and now I have PBS and Fox and one more…three channels left. Will clear tv get me tv out there? and, BTW… they never did move to the digital, just the old VHS or whatever they call it. Not enough people out there to make the change I guess? any comments?

      Thanks
      Desertmike J.T. ca

      • Joey says:

Hey if you don’t live near any transmitters or in a metal mobile home like I do. Get your self a external HDTV antenna they sell them at best buy for hundred bucks but its worth the investment and I used my existing cable lines to connect it through my house.

  64. Kenny says:

Why would anyone buy this? I can do a digital air scan on my TV & pick up over 100 channels without any antenna. The catch… Most are just music channels with a few local TV channels in the mix & one or two movie channels. I tried digital cable once but the channel numbers are so screwed up I couldn’t remember the good channel numbers to go back to watch. Who wants to spend all their free time flipping channels? I hardly ever watch TV anymore. My TV is better used as my monitor. I can watch the newest movies for free on the internet at Glowgaze or Megashare.info

  65. Ruby says:

If you will not try you will not learn a lesson. Good luck!

    • john says:

I work for a tower company called Rohn towers. I think you all should just get a communication tower you’ll get great reception. Lol

  66. Erika says:

Some people do not get local channels without cable or satellite depending on their area. This would be good for someone like them. However if you are in an area where you already get free local channels this product would not really benefit you.

    • Jimmy says:

All this is is an overpriced indoor tv antenna. I’d be willing to bet that a $5 set of rabbit ears would work better, which is also easily repositioned to get signals from different directions, unlike this piece of rubbish.

  67. Ms X says:

Yes I have the antenna, I get 47 channels and its not near a window. I don’t work for the company and I’m not brainless Mr X, yes some things on TV rips many people off. In fact I’d like to try the items out before it is put on the market, far sure I tell the truth. I do think the price is high and S&H is high. With all the tech know age why can’t so one come up with antenna that gets cable channels so very one can get the some thing. There is so many people on fix income that can’t afford cable. If cable wants to charge let them charge for X-Rated programs. Bottom line the antenna does work.

    • Mike says:

Cable companies transmit on channels that you can’t receive without THEIR antenna and service. That’s because they are in the game to make money. If everyone could just hijack their signals then there would be no money to be made and cable companies would disappear. I understand that. I just don’t use cable. I use a homemade antenna set up in my attic to get the available local broadcast channels. No one NEEDS cable, on a fixed income (which I am on) or not. It is not a basic necessity to live.

    • jimmy koiner says:

It is a complete fraud and lie and you are supporting this rip off

      • Martha Miller says:

From all the bad reviews (and the very few good ones – probably by someone lucky enough that it does work or someone related to the sale of the product), I believe I have saved myself a big headache by reading reviews first. Thanks all and sorry for your losses.

  68. Ron Edwards says:

Like with most all “AS Seen On T.V.” crap this is also junk. I wouldn’t waste my money on it, go buy a really good aerial antenna for 50 to 100 dollars if you only wish to watch the 3 to 6 local stations that you’re only going to get anyway.

  69. JWD says:

There is a law against this it’s called ( FALSE ADVERTISEMENT ) The only thing is it’s not enforced anymore for some reason . If so there would be a lot of these crooks I jail and we have to hear these b/s commercials on TV . I was going to buy one of these but after reading all the reviews it looks as if no one has anything positive to say only negative . THANKS

    • Louis says:

All they are selling is an antenna that receives television signals. Tell me what they said that was “false advertisement.” The people who made this commercial were counting on people hearing what they want to hear. I keep reading complaints about not being able to receive cable channels. I laugh every time. They NEVER say you can receive anything except over-the-air BROADCAST television. It’s a television ANTENNA that enables you to receive television signals in your area. That’s all. They never claim it is more than that.

      • hobbygirl98 says:

That’s what I need just a decent antennae for over the air. We put up some aluminum /air stuff across a very old bay window to block cold weather. However I lost all tv reception. Do you think this antennae will work for me? I only have over the air broadcasting.

        • Louis says:

          Hobby

It depends on what is available in your area. You might just need an RCA indoor rabbit ears antenna like I have. I get about 20 channels with it. Maybe you need an outdoor antenna. Go to antennaweb.org to see what is available where you live, and what kind of antenna (indoor or outdoor) you may need. I actually receive a few more than they say I can receive. Don’t buy this ClearTV thing. I bought my RCA antenna at Walgreens for less than $17, and it’s better. You can adjust the position of the RCA antenna much better and much easier than this ClearTV thing. You may have to move your television antenna away from that blocked window. If signals can’t get through, even a good antenna won’t receive anything.

          • Joe says:

Thanks for the info. I visited the website you recommended and it showed there is only one station I could receive and its 43 miles away. It’s a foreign language station.

      • jimmy koiner says:

First thing is they do not say local and when you call the company they will tell you that have to also buy their amplifier in order for it to work but they do not tell you that on tv. You do not believe me call and ask.

      • jimmy koiner says:

My lost friend you are lost and blind to the truth. They lie about every thing and people like you help them mislead the people. Just stating facts.

      • Ashleigh2k says:

Actually, they very much DO promise you can “see all your favorite sports, movies, and shows” — for me, that’s HGTV & The Food Network, The Tennis Channel, ESPN, HBO, Showtime, TVland, MTV, E, and most especially Fox News, TCM, & Animal Planet…

Clear TV commercials say “you can see ALL your favorite sports, shows, and movies”… So yes, they PROMISE I can see what I’m curreny watching now! And apparently that’s a total lie!!

And they also never say you must buy their amplifier for even ANY station to come through…

This level of fraud should be illegal!

  70. Mr. Kool says:

Thanks guys for the heads up…kmt. Bunch of crooks the cable comp.should sue them.

    • Louis says:

Sue them for what? All they are selling is an antenna to receive broadcast television channels. They NEVER say you can receive cable channels. Maybe this company is crooked for the other the reasons stated by some customers here, but they NEVER say that you can receive cable channels. People hear what they want to hear. This is just an ANTENNA to receive over-the-air television signals.

      • sharon says:

MY neighbor has one of these, she gets about 20 clear channels, it does not get you cable channels, you must have cable to get cable channels. Myself, I bought an outdoor Antenna from Ventura TV, its gets me about 60 or so channels, cost 45.00 bucks and works great. Unless you get an outdoor antenna you will only get about 10 channels or so, that include the Clear TV Antenna, depending on the area. Outdoor Antenna people, is the way to go, and make sure it’s a good outdoor Antenna, not one of those cheap one’s they sell at walmart, or the Swap meets. Remember, you get what you pay for.

  71. Louis says:

I can’t believe people are complaining about not getting cable channels. How stupid are you people? They never say you can receive cable channels. I hate to sound like I am defending them, because obviously this is a dishonest company, but never do they say that you can receive cable channels. You would have to be REALLY stupid to think you could, and that’s what they were counting on when they made this commercial. Here’s the reality of over-the-air digital television in my area.

I bought an RCA rabbit ears antenna for $16 in Walgreens two years ago and dropped cable. Here’s what I am able to watch for free every day, 24 hours a day: CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, CW, PBS, ION, COZY TV, Movies!, Bounce, Antenna TV, ThisTV, and a few others. That’s all the networks, two channels that show great 50s, 60s, and 70s sitcoms, two channels that show excellent old movies, another channel that shows movies and music shows, another channel that shows Law and Order, Monk, Criminal Minds, without a Trace, and others, and a few other independent channels. That’s all with a simple RCA rabbit ears antenna that cost $16. You don’t need a “digital antenna” to receive digital broadcasts. There is no such thing. An antenna is an antenna. It picks up signals in a specific range of frequencies, whether they are analog or digital.

Just do some research, buy a decent antenna from a reputable company, hook it up, make sure your television is set to “antenna” on the settings, and put your television into “scan” mode. Then you will see what is available for free in your area. If you live far from broadcast towers, you may need an outdoor antenna, but I think it’s worth it. I am able to watch FREE television, and I have more than enough choice of what to watch with simple rabbit ears. I can’t imagine paying some crooks to watch television. I grew up watching the best television shows ever for free. I still watch free television. Unless you are a sports fan, which I am not, there is no reason to have cable. Look again at the list of channels that I watch for free. If that’s not enough channels for you, then you are spending way too much time watching television.

    • Peggy says:

This has enlightened me . Thanks to all of you, Especially Louis. I always read reviews before buying.

      • jimmy koiner says:

They say “you can get all these channels free and no longer have to pay for cable to get these channels free”. That is a lie. They are a fraud and just a way to get peoples money. You better listen to their add again. They do not tell you no the tv that you have to buy their amplifier before you can get channels over twenty miles . It is a fraud and does not work. Call and ask why you have to but their amplifier.

    • Tonya Tipton says:

It does say at the bottom of the commercial that you can’t get cable channels so I don’t know what people are talking about either on the cable channels.

      • Mike M. says:

They claim that this service can provide a substitute for cable TV, and it really doesn’t. That’s what I find deceptive about this business.

  72. Peggy says:

What a joke – I called the promotion line and got a recorded voice. So – i proceed to order the clear TV digital HD Antenna – buy one get one free – gee nice. Well, then you are told that you need an amplifier – additional cost. then after giving your card info you get – buy this Walmart card and save I said no then you get buy these magazines I said no pushed the right button only to have the same message come on three times. So called my card co – yep the amount is pending and for a lot more than I expected. They said I had to wait to dispute charges. Called the next day to make sure I could cancel – after about 1/2 hour sorry it shipped. Got the confirmation today and guess what — Same $126.62 but only two of the six items they showed on the first order were shipped and yes for $126.6. Yesterday I asked to speak to a supervisor – after 5 minutes of waiting I was told there was a communication problem and they could not connect me – I guess India must have had communication problems yesterday…

    • john says:

Thanks for the info. I was going to buy one. But I figured it was only a few channels and I’ve been through the overcharge crap. Then you cant get a hold of anyone but some foreign idiot you cant understand who could care less.

    • Pat says:

I was just about to order for our house in Floriday which we visit few months in winter needless to say I am so glad I read the reviews. When scamming the public like this they should be held accountable. Just finished with dealing with another vendor for skin care product Equinox and RVTL and experienced the same problem with cancelling and refund….total nightmare!!!! I am beginning to feel like I shouldn’t order anything from tv or other infomercials.

      • JoAnn says:

@Pat: Anything you see on informercials that you want to try, go to Amazon.com and check to see if they have it first. You can return anything you purchase from Amazon.com with no hassel. I always check them before ordering anything and most of the time they have what I want. I will never order from the original site because of the hassel you get when trying to return. If Amazon don’t have it, I just don’t order it.

  73. James Hunt says:

Glad I read reviews thanx folks!

    • Nita Wallace says:

Thank you for your reviews everyone. You just saved a non-working young lady with very little money not to spend money on something that I would have regretted.

  74. Vivian says:

I regret buying the Clear TV antenna! I get better reception with the digital antenna I bought at Walmart. You don’t get 100’s of channels with the Clear TV antenna. You also don’t get the sports channels like they claim you only get the local channels and not all of them.

  75. Bruce ROGSTAD says:

Worked good, aimed at tower but the amplifier just made a mess. They do not work.

  76. thetexter101 says:

Yeah…I saw the commercial and I thought to myself that it sounds too good to be true. Plus, if you watch the commercial real closely the next time you see it, look at the t.v. It’s not even a real picture their getting. It’s animated in there. It’s so obvious to me that this is a piece of crap and you can find a better antena at Walmart…some people might have luck with this thing, but most might not.

    • Heather says:

My question to your comment is did you actually buy and try the Clear TV antenna? I understand that you read the fine print and look for gimmicky tricks but did you actually purchase it. I would like to try it out and want an actual account of how it works through experience.

  77. Mary says:

In the FAQ I noticed that they mentioned that the Antenna needs to be facing a Broadcast Tower. Hello! How many of us really know where those towers are located? Even if we did know where they are it would still suck because it’ll be a hassle to try and get this thing to give reception. Our TV’s aren’t usually located in an area in our home which makes it feasible to place this thing to face some so called tall tower. Just for that simple reason the Red Flag blows in the wind. I had thought about getting it too since cable has become so expensive if you want decent programming, I live in a condo in FL and can’t use antenna’s or dish. I really hate thieves they really p*** me off, pay backs a b****. I watch Netflix on my computer and Nook quite a bit, one day I’ll invest in a smart TV so I can watch Netflix on TV. Hulu has too many commercials. I Really Really hate commercials they use so much of my viewing time and 99% of the time they don’t tell it like it is. Makes me crazy!

  78. steveo says:

Maybe the tv stations should be more responsible to its viewers and not facilitate any misleading advertising from any advertiser. Its funny every commercial you see they always want to give you a free something but pay shipping and handling. As soon as I hear that its time to change the channel. If we as the consumer stop buying maybe that will get their attention. Don’t ever forget you are in charge and have a say in what you buy or don’t buy so don’t feed the pig. By the way a good old fashion outside antenna works great.

  79. forest says:

Thanks for the Clear TV reviews, we were thinking about buying one for our RV. It sounds like it does not work for what we wanted. Appreciate it people! You saved us about $40 and a hassle to return it when it didn’t work!

    • Heather says:

Keep in mind that these reviews so far are not from people that have actually owned one but people who are debunking an ad through visual connotations and have not actually personally experienced it. Basically skeptics…

      • Dave says:

        Heather,

You don’t have to purchase it to know if it works. It is simply an antenna to pick up local broadcast stations.Their commercials are deceptive. Yes it does work, but so does an antenna bought at Radio Shack or Walmart. watching the commercial they make it sound like you are connecting to the Clear TV network or something of the sort. You are not. You are simply hooking up an antenna to your TV set and scanning for channels using your TV’s tuner. How many people out there don’t have a newer TV with the built in digital tuner and rely on their cable or satellite box to convert the signal. They would have to go out and buy a converter box to use the Clear TV antenna. They make no mention of this. They simply say if you have the coaxial cable antenna input Clear TV will work on your set and that’s simply not true if you have an older set. Like I said you would need the converter box. Why don’t they just come and say they are selling a simple antenna, period, pure and simple? Because they are trying to trick you, that’s why.

  81. Mudpuppy says:

Glad I read reviews thanx folks!

  82. LG says:

Thank you everyone for your Clear TV Antenna reviews! They are very helpful and now will save me money, time and extreme frustration. I’m sorry you all had to go through it though. Good luck with your returns.

  83. scatterplot says:

I watched the Clear TV commercial tonight. Quite interesting. It followed the same formula to get any impulse buyer to whip out the old Visa card. The same as any motivational speaker, exercise video, self-help book ad…..etc. I saw it for what it was immediately, a “TV antenna”. WOW!! But what got my attention more was this: the excessive use of “clear picture”. With digital TV signals you either get ALL or NOTHING with a picture(or signal). There is no clear, fuzzy or in between. It’s either off or on, just like digital is either zeroes or ones. I use very nice rabbit ears to get over the air TV. I have a lot of cutting out on many channels unless I set it to get mainly the low UHF(24-ABC), as I said it’s all or nothing with digital. I was quite amused how their ad was put together with a “TV engineer” who wanted to remain anonymous. It’s all hype and time-proven formula advertising. From what I’ve read, digital over-the-air TV is very hard to get perfectly without a very nice outdoor antenna. I’ve bought and returned many antennas that were far worse than my trusty *** brand antenna. Do yourself a favor. Go to a site that sells specialty TV antennas and buy a good one for $50 or more.

    • A imee says:

I know, I’m watching the commercial now & you also notice how they are very careful about what they say & how they say it. “You can get all your favorite network shows…” Yeah, networks that are free! Duh! It’s like they think everyone forgot about the days before cable. We ALWAYS had those 4 free networks! We just had to adjust that antenna… heeey, wait a minute! This isn’t new! We just went back in time 20 years! Sneaky bastards. And, they not only keep saying “clear” but also “crystal clear.” Oooh, fancy. While it might be true that there are many digital channels that are free, most of them suck! Local access shows, church shows filmed with a camcorder, old weird movie channels. America, you have to LISTEN to the words that are coming out of their mouths. I wonder how much money they’ve made off of this antenna.

  84. bigbourg says:

Does not work…. Rip off, garbage, do not buy, waste of money. Bought and returned, they keep the shipping and handling charges. That’s how they make their money in this junk. This product is not even worth the cost of shipping.

Do not buy. There should be laws against businesses like these…

  85. james torti says:

I bought this stupid thing, put it on the TV, and got nothing but fuzz. Where do I get my money back from? Who do I write to, this is crap. I will call the BBB and the TV station and tell them about this.

  86. louis davidson says:

Thank god I read these reviews and did not purchase that crap.It must be a lot of greed that comes from this antenna provider. How can they live with knowing that their product is a piece of crap? Thank you reviews!

  87. Rod says:

Worst product I’ve ever purchased. A wire coat hanger works better than this product. Best used to clean out your cats kitty liter box.

  88. Tim says:

Any one that purchased this dumb crap deserves what you received!! You got to be kidding me that anyone fall for this nonsense!!

    • Roy A White says:

I purchased a antenna and black box from Walmart. I am 50 miles from Nashville TN and Huntsville AL. I received 13 channels. Then purchased a remote control antenna with 150 mile radius off eBay. Now I am doing 22 channels. I bought 3 smart TVs. That gives me Hulu plus and Netflix for about 8 bucks each. Facebook, Youtube and about 13 other apps free. More than we will ever watch.

  89. Nancy says:

DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

  90. Pmtyson says:

I hate this antenna, they completely lied about it.. I HATE IT !!

  91. BRENDA MAXIMO says:

I think from reading reviews, that everyone should contact the attorney general’s office in Washington, d.c. and also the us trade commission about fraud from this company. I agree with another reviewer that everyone should pool together and file a law suit against the company. The tv station that publishes the advertisement should also be called. If the station gets very many complaints, they will possibly pull the ad; just like they did with Paula Deen. Also, I think the most response will come from the national tv news channel in your state: like good morning America, etc. They are always looking for good stories that affect many people.

    • BRENDA MAXIMO says:

Also, call your credit card company and cancel payment. Inform them that the company is misrepresenting their product and then you are unable to contact anyone by phone to rectify the problem. Inform them about the return shipping issue and that the company is shipping ups via untraceable methods.

    • Louis says:

What are you going to put in your complaint? Are you going to say they lied because it doesn’t give you cable channels? If so, then you will be wasting your time. This is a television antenna. It picks up signals from BROADCAST television towers. That’s it. They never say you can get anything else. The company may be guilty of bad service and overcharging people, but they say very clear that it is an antenna that picks up broadcast television. They never said it gives you cable channels.

Do some research to see what is available over-the-air in your area, buy a decent name-brand antenna, and see what happens. Don’t waste time complaining about this antenna to anyone at a government agency because this antenna isn’t giving you free cable channels. They’ll just laugh at you.

  92. daniel says:

Sucks if you want a antenna that really works there is a outdoor antenna that has a 150 mile radius works better than anything you can get at WalMart just google 150 mile outdoor t.v antenna it is 70 bucks but its definitely worth it.

  93. Ponder says:

I don’t see how anyone can buy one,I have tried for over an hour and I
keep getting the rrun around.so I guess I will go to Walmart.

  94. chuck says:

These guys sound just like magic jack phone

    • chuck says:

You would be much better off with consumer phones.

      • Richard says:

Sorry Chuck, I have had a Majic Jack Plus for well over a year and it is working as advertised. $35 per YEAR and I kept my phone number. I have a wireless 4-handset unit hooked up to it and everything works great.

        • laura says:

you have much reason to buy magic jack plus and I do not need to have it connected to the computer, only to electricity. I’m saving $ 37 every month since installing it. I loved with unlimited calling within the United States and I can get another call and also have to leave me messages. I have had it for 7 months and just pay the purchase and next year pays another year for $35 or five for $100. A wonder, I really recommend it and I’m not making AT & T more rich by charging me for calls outside the area when I passed the time limit, was only 60 minutes a month.

  95. Jean says:

You can use your old rabbit ear antenna. Just hook it to your TV and program your TV under antenna ,you will get all the digital channels. I have been doing it for years. You won’t need to buy Clear TV. I bought my rabbit ears at the dollar store.

  96. I got clear tv-it worked ok depending on which way the wind was blowing – winds from the west got 3 locale channels from station only 5 miles from my home-from the s.east got 3 channels from a station 100 + miles away but lost the 3 from only 5 miles away on a scale from 1 to 10 I give it a 6+ only-because I didn’t loss all my channels and still had something to watch.

  97. Tatyana says:

Clear it is just a regular digital antenna. I am getting more channels with Phillips SDV3132/27 indoor circle black antenna from E-Bay for under 30 USD with shipping and works OK with more than 30 channels for free Less pain and more powerful than clear one Too much scams on TV.

  98. Annette Porter says:

My daughter just order this junk, and can’t get it to work, she told after she had already placed her order. I would have suggested going to Walmart or Target to see what you are buying, and Walmart will stand behind their products. Just keep your receipt.

  99. Jo says:

Oh oh looks like I did a dumb thing once again! Hearing the commercial one more time this morning I decided to place an order and try this out. The offer on TV was $19.95 or two plus s&h. Clearly they said that you could get many cable channels as well as local stations. After giving most of my credit card info including the code and got to the part of giving my shipping address all of a sudden it would not go through and finally the call cut me off. Now I come across this site that shows no s&h charges and other comments of what a rip of this is. Have I been scammed? The voice prompt asked for my shipping address at least 6 times. I just hope I did not place 6 orders. Now I’m going to worry for the next month or so until I see my charges and what produces in the mail. That’s it for me – no more ordering online!

  100. cindy says:

I would not recommend this Clear TV Antenna, half the time it doesn’t come in clear, I was getting antenna tv then all of a sudden it’s blocked. Do your self a favor get cable, clear tv is not worth it.

  101. Unkown says:

What everyone here should do is take Clear TV to court for it is ILLEGAL for a company to say one thing and do something completely different. In this case saying that you will get ALL the cable and satellite channels as well as the local channels free but in reality your lucky to get the local channels which any old antenna can get. Also from me reading these reviews, I decided not to get the Clear TV antenna.

    • Jo says:

If you look there is no contact information – ANYWHERE! I have looked and looked and cannot find anything. I have called the original number several times hoping that I could get connected with a Customer Service but no luck. I tried their Customer Status that they suggest and still no luck. Other numbers also are either false or out or order. Something tells me this company is somewhere in China or India or who knows where!

    • Nancy says:

I’m listening to the commercial and it does not say you get cable channels. You get ‘Network’ channels. That is not cable.

      • ConnieD says:

they may not say that you get cable but it’s like a subliminal message in a way…they keep mentioning cable so much that your mind is telling you that they did say that. They also don’t say you get sports channels, they say you can wa…I’ll just copy and paste what they say: “You can watch your favorite shows, sporting events, local news and weather programs and more on your favorite popular channels.” They’ve got your mind working in such a way that you’re actually thinking that they say all this stuff. And you know that they’ve got lawyers reading it all so that they are protected. Suing them would be pointless because I honestly don’t think that anyone but the company would win. And word of mouth will be their downfall in the end.

  102. FedUp Already says:

To make matters even worse –
they use UPS “SurePost” which is an untraceable shipping method.

On your Order Confirmation email, they will post this link in the color blue: “www.ups.com” Only thing – it is bogus and will not link you directly to the UPS webpage. You have to use your search engine in order to go to the UPS webpage. Once there, when you type in the tracking number, the information will have a rundown on the package and the date of delivery. Consequently on the date of delivery my package was not delivered as shown on the UPS website. When you click the chat link and get the Rep in customer service, he or she will inform you that ClearTV uses their “SurePost” shipping method, which is an untraceable method and thus, cannot help you any further! The UPS Rep told me to contact the shipper, whom is ClearTV for further help!

I did that via telephone and spoke with a Nancy whom upon my informing her about the “No Package Delivery” immediately told me that she would put in request for me to receive a replacement order! I don’t have to tell you all that they’ve already gotten their money. So, after reading these posts, and the ClearTV Rep stating she would send me a replacement order, my not taking any chances – have since gotten in touch with my bank and killed my old C-Card just in case they may want to add an additional charge on their for the replacement order with and give $10 BACK TO MY CARD once I receive the replacement. Now see, that $10 discount back to my card, lets me know that they keep your CC number in their files. HA – Glad I cancelled that card!

  103. Milton Chalifoux says:

Clear Tv does not work! I couldn’t get any local channels & only a few channels worked! ClearTv DOES NOT WORK AT ALL!

  104. Kathy says:

Glad I came here to check out reviews. Sounds like a complete rip-off. Guess I will stick w/ my internet and the Rabbit that I bought for 10 dollars.

  105. Anita Matson says:

I ordered by check vs credit card, because I don’t trust these websites. They cashed my check May 30, 2013 and I called today to find out about my order. They could not tell me anything, except to call them back in 7-10 days. I spoke to 3 different guys, all of whom I could not understand clearly because they are foreigners. I think this whole thing is a scam. I’m filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau tomorrow.

    • Merlin says:

You should never order anything online with a check. You can never get your money back. The best you can do is to report fraud, but usually your money is gone.

    • Jo says:

What number did you call? I have tried to reach a live person to no avail. I get the recording run around and other numbers do not work or are false.

  106. Jeff says:

Even with the best antenna, I would not expect many Channels. 5 tops, more realistically 3. My complaint is that they infer that much more is to be expected, when it is just not the case.

    • Sandra Dowd says:

I agree with the complaint by Jeff. Not only do I not get extra channels I am only 35 miles west of Chicago and cannot even get the local channels. I even went to Radio Shack and bought a booster. The only thing I got was perhaps a very clear picture but not any more channels. I cannot get 2, 5, 7 is iffy. Sometimes 9 comes in. I do have good access to the odd channels such as 26’s, no ION and occasionally I get 50 and 50-2. I wouldn’t mind that I only get a few channels but they are not stable, they fade in and out even on perfect weather days. Please don’t tell me to scan again. I probably scan 2 to 3 times a day. If I put the antenna in the south window I get different channels I have tried and tried and scanned and scanned. I think the product is worthless.

  107. GRAHAM says:

If anyone needs the number it is 18888743480, code is SLG437. I just called them and they answered.

  108. Judy Owen says:

I don’t understand all of the negative reviews on this product. I received it 10 days after I ordered it on line. It took minutes to hook up and I get seven (7) channels!!! I live in the country at least 50 miles from the nearest TV tower. My home is surrounded by 100 year old oak shade trees. My one suggestion for those who want to try (or re-try) this product is instead of using your television’s auto program, use the manual channel setup. The user’s guide has grammatical errors and does not offer this as an option, but it worked for me. Clear TV should hire someone to re-write the guide to be more user friendly and without errors

    • Ochy says:

Oh it get’s channels, but nothing that a 5 dollar Family Dollar rabbit ear antenna doesn’t get. In fact I get 5 more with my rabbits ears than this crap.

      • Hillary says:

Ochy, I was looking at the Rabbit TV at Family Dollar a couple of weeks ago. Is there way to stream that to the TV, or do you have to watch on a computer? Also, do you get the local news channels or are the channels not in real time? Looking forward to your response. Are you using Rabbit Ears, or the Rabbit TV usb? Thanx!

        • al says:

@ hillary if you have a tv that you can hook up to your tv you can watch it on your tv

        • Heather says:

They are coming up with a rabbit tv that can be used for smart TV’s by the end of this year. I have gotten advertisements about it recently…keep checking back. Keep in mind though that even the rabbit tv is a little bit too good to be true and there are many channels that you have to pay to get also.

  109. ivan cruz says:

I want you to stop charging things not responsible. That is a farta of respect and I want to place the order I asked you was only 60.91 and 142.00 dollars. If you do not know it grab orders to stop working there. That is a steal and I’ll talk to my lawyer to notify them that this can not be. Tomorrow morning I will demand for charging and one other things that is not fair. And also I will cancel the payment and it’s fraudulent tell you all make announcements on TV and offer one thing and then go to you have to pay another. That is fraud and I will contact the channel to tell what happens ok. They’re thieves HaiGan so hopefully not charged until this aregle and hopefully not his call and be ok tomorrow ….. I just ordered a box of receber codrando yu are three more and that’s not fair .. …

  110. Mark Moore says:

There is no such thing as Digital HD antenna. If you connect an antenna that people used 50 years ago to your HDTV and the broadcast is HD you will get perfect HD picture. The truth is that adding HD lures people to buy.

  111. Thomas Armey says:

I purchased this item because the data provided stated it would work in the 45831 area. I only picked up a PBS station. So, I would say the ad isn’t correct. I have two of them that will be stored in my garage until I can decide what to do with them.

    • Ochy says:

Return them, of course you won’t get the shipping charges they already got their money just because they are made in China so it probably cost less than a dollar to make. Charge the consumer $19.99 with the fraud of an additional one if we pay shipping and charges that is another $15.96 and it cost them to ship no more than $2.77 (13 oz.)so the rest is profit. but at least you have to get your $19.99 and taxes if any and teach us a lesson to read reviews before buying my friend, we were ripped off, what else can we do.

  112. ANDREAL MONTGOMERY says:

This antenna claims that you will be able to catch lots of channels….. Well this was bought as a gift for me and the products in no good!! They lied. I hate this product and will not recommend to anyone!!! I only caught 5 channels total. I’m sending it back!!!

  113. Mark says:

I worked selling TVs for years. You don’t need to purchase this piece of junk. As long as you buy a new digital HD television you can simply buy any old antenna and get digital channels locally. This device does the same exact thing but just markets it like its a new product to get all these channels when in fact its not. All new TVs have digital tuners built right in. It is all relative to how far you are away from the broadcast signals. But any outdoor antenna (usually the best) or an amplified antenna will work better. Go on this site http://antennaweb.org, and you can see what channels you can get in your area. Hope this helps.

  114. Henry eleves says:

This product does not work and I tried calling their customer care number and has been discontinued. Sounds like something is not quite right with the company. How does one return it if you can’t get hold of them.

  115. dario says:

Writing reviews is ok because it warns other potential buyers, but the best complaint is to the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau.

  116. janice says:

I doesn’t work !!!!!! unless you have a box to get local channels.

  117. MR IGOT RIPPEDOFF says:

I have never felt so scammed in my life. First they got my credit card number, then I was stuck on the phone for 30 minutes with a computer thats trying to sell me way more than I asked for. I only wanted one antenna for 15 dollars plus 8 dollars shipping, when they were through with me my card got charged over 60 dollars. MAN AM I PISSED!!

  118. PLI says:

Don’t do it. Clear Tv is a scam, scam not only does it not work, they don’t want to give you all your money back. I paid $45.00 with shipping and handling. I was only given $19.95 back only for them to sell my return to someone else and take their money too… this company should be ashamed.

  119. black says:

This crap dose not work, it sucks

  120. Barbara howell says:

Your shipping company stinks!!! ordered my product 24 days ago, was told it shipped on the 13of May still not here was screamed at by your agent talked to UPS they said the order never shipped

  121. Randy Pryor says:

Worst product and SCAM out there. I bought a Clear TV Antenna and they talked me into getting the one free “just pay shipping and handling”. it is garbage does not do anything it says. My old rabbit ears brought the local channels in. Clear TV brought in nothing . I was told if not satisfied send them back and get the $19.95 back. I sent them back and I got email from Clear TV stating they received them and I would be credited by into my bank account for the $19.95 within 5 business days. It has now been 15 business days and when you talk to them on the phone they just apologize and say keep looking on your account for the credit. They have not only ripped me off for the shipping and handling costs but also the $19.95. This company not only misrepresents their product but also does not stand by their so called return policy.

My advice: “When you hear them advertise mute it and run to the kitchen.”
    Randy Pryor

How stupid can people be? — you can’t pick up a digital signal with anything especially when it’s hundreds of miles away — i almost wet my pants laughing at all the victims and their stories — no wonder there’s so much identity theft — people give their card numbers to anyone for anything — to those who have been fleeced, good for you, you deserve it.

      • otis says:

HA HA HA Shows what you know. All the channels broadcast in digital now. And you are asking how stupid people can be. All this is, is an antenna for the local digital channels. I haven’t bought one but I have a similar antenna on my tv. It won’t give you cable channels or satellite channels as the ad makes you believe. It is just an antenna.

      • Not Dumbazz Mr X says:

Get a life mr x. (you’re the “STUPID ONE”), most likely you did wet your pants, why come here and read comments LOSER. I hope all of your mail is lost or stolen and the IRS over charges you in taxes — & If you do wet your pants, good for you, you deserve it & worse!!!

    • evelyn gorham says:

I was tired of cable bills so I opted for an ELECTRIC set of rabbit ears and a converter box. the box was 50. and the ears were 40. I get 2 of the local channels, fox t.v. and ch. 56. As well as some old movies ch. Plus all the Spanish ones. The pictures are crisp and clear and I had to adapt to missing some of my favorites but it sure beats shelling out 146.00 mo. By the way…I live in Worcester mass. and all the ch. come out of Boston. Only the electric ears seem to work. I’m not sure why they are electric because there are no moving parts.

  122. gerald bennet says:

I ordered the clear tv almost 4 weeks ago and they took the money immediately off my card and now I get an e-mail saying that my order has been cancelled due to not enough funds on my card. So that means they are trying to charge me twice for the same order and I still don’t have the product. WHAT A BIG SCAM!

  123. Joe Breaux says:

DO NOT waste your money on the Clear TV antenna. All you need to do is go to Best Buy,Wal mart or Radio Shack and buy a $10 HD antenna. Then plug it or screw it where is says antenna(You must have an HD ready tv of which all flat panel TVs are – Or a converter box if you have an old non HD tv) and then go to the menu and SCAN the channels. This will pick up all of the HD channels. If you don’t scan the channels you will not pick up channels.

    • Barbara says:

Can you please tell me here to find scan in the menu options?

      Thank you

      • Billy says:

        Barbara,

There should be a menu button option on your remote control. Once you’re on the menu, you should be able to access the scan feature by going to channel or channel set up on the menu. Once you locate it, select scan (auto) channel. These menu items may not be listed this way verbatim, but their pretty generic options on most televisions so you should be able to figure it out based on these instructions.

  125. Greg says:

It doesn’t get any cable channels. Corrections to some comment here. You can still use an old analog tv, you just need to get an over-the-antenna convertor. If you have those old screw on types inputs, you can get an adapter for that.

  126. greg tabbert says:

I ordered the Clear TV HD Antenna and have still not received it, I tried calling customer service and the number has been disconnected, the money has been taken already. Whats up??

  127. Jessica says:

I am highly upset. I bought this Clear TV HD Antenna in hopes that I’d have it on time for my boyfriend for his birthday, ordering 2 weeks before, being told by the company it would be sent in 2-3 weeks, I was under the impression “well it might be a little late but its the gesture that counts, as long as he gets it to watch NASCAR.” -3 Weeks Later- I call customer service, I can’t understand that representative, and ask to speak with the supervisor (his name-Michael) , who continues to explain its on back order and they would expedite it when they’re shipment come in (which was supposed to be the next week). Being a truck driver for some time, my boyfriend understands shipping processes, and I understood as well, calmly said ok thank you. -2 weeks later (today)- I call customer service and immediately ask to speak with the supervisor, explaining why I needed to speak with him, I’m connected to yet again- another Michael. Assuming this is the one (by voice and by name) I previously spoke to, I continued explaining that I still have not received my order despite being told it would be another 2 weeks (1 for them to receive and another for me to receive it). Michael #2 says he was not the representative I spoke to, tries to feed me the same line of bull I’ve heard already, so after many profanities and vulgarities, my boyfriend took the phone, and continued to ask “where is the product” not “why hasn’t it been shipped?” They could only tell us it was coming from china, no details as to whether it was en route, in production, or if they don’t have the diodes plastic and coax they need to make it. THEN they wouldn’t give us Corporate HQ’s number so we could talk to someone who’s job ISN’T to worry about lying to us, but to keep our business.

    • Andres says:

I dont need any antenna to watch tv for free . All you need to do is connect your HDTV to the wall cable port and hit MENU to program your TV. Go to settings hit initial settings hit YES and wait in about 30 minutes you will have free tv.

  130. ray says:

scam, scam, scam!!! You can buy the same junk at Walmart. Don’t get ripped, they tie your money up and collect interest as long as they can. Got your money and you have to wait forever to get it back so there making money off you. Like its said go buy an outdoor antenna you ‘re better off…..

  131. Kris Liberato says:

I ordered this during the TV promo – “Get two for the price of one.” Unfortunately, these people have a very inferior website because I noticed they had duplicated my order and charged me twice (and yes, sent me FOUR antennae!). When I called, I was advised that I must have “hit the order button twice.” Gee, I’ve only been using the computer for 30+ years and ordering many things – – – Luckily, after much frustration, a call to my credit card company, another call to the Clear TV folks, the duplicate charge was credited back to my account. I guess my time is worth nothing.

So if you’re in a hurry, skip this antenna and go out and buy one. But I DO like the antenna – I get 38 channels with it!!

  132. jpeter says:

Please, folks. This is only an over-the-air antenna and will only pull in your local broadcasts. I have a $15 antenna from Walmart and it pulls in about 18 stations. Don’t get ripped off by this company.

  133. roxann hicks says:

I purchased the clear antenna and all I get is 1 channel……now what

  134. Andre Cobb says:

What’s up everybody this is Andre Cobb from South Carolina and I finally experience my Clear TV HD antenna a couple of days ago and yeah right… my been back order over a month ago and I just received my Clear TV HD antenna a month after. The shipping part is so ridiculous; I almost want to refund my money back. Well I try my clear TV HD antenna in the South Carolina area and I only getting at least 21 local channels and didn’t get ion channel, sport events, or movies channels. That part is a lie. You only get local broadcast that you can receive from your local broadcast towers. It is super clear and audio is tight I give it that though. I still not satisfy with the antenna because I am only getting 21 channels is not better than cable or satellite. I see you can pick up new channels only the time frame of 12am to 4am for more programming and after that the extra programming cut off and got back too regular local programming. Since I thought that this antenna is supposed to receive scrambled cable channels that I don’t see on here just local channels only. Well I just want to stop by and share my experience with Clear TV HD antenna coming from South Carolina. Peace

@ Kelly Glover, Good Afternoon, My name is Ke-ania, Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Brilliant Built Technologies. The Clear cast Antenna is not to substitute for cable TV, but it is able to pick up over-the-air digital and HGTV signals that the cable and satellite companies are charging a fortune for each month and delivers them to you absolutely FREE. If you need further assistance with the status of your refund please feel free to call me directly at 330-966-9000 ext. 8961, and I will be more than happy to assist you.

      Thank you

The commercial does state on the commercial that the clear TV antenna does not receive cable or satellite-only tv stations. just a little word to the wise…it helps to read hug fine print.

Will I be able to get Sci-Fi, USA, TNT, and the SPIKE channels with this antenna?

    • Gadgetman says:

NO YOU WILL NOT GET ANY OF THOSE CHANNELS. Analog switch to digital signal. Analog was free tv which we had before cable etc. The free digital signal added a few more channels which I can get up to 36 channels in Philadelphia. I’m only getting 24 cuz of a big building blocking me. Do a search for your hometown.

This is not a magic antenna to get cable channels like the ones you stated. Like stated below it’s better to get a real outdoor antenna from places like summitsource.com or winegarddirect.com, solidsignal.com or another company that offers them. Do you homework go on youtube and search for these digital antennas. You can also make your own antenna it’s not hard search that on youtube.com also.

This is Television like we once knew but the digital signal is better then analog and you do get a lot more. it has a lot of BS channels just like cable. With an antenna and Netflix you got it made.

To all the back orders of course their going to be back order with all the people thinking that it’s the answer to cable tv’s high prices.

Research, research and do some more research before buying anything, the internet is the information highway so use it to get the answers.

      • Tony B. says:

Also, antennaweb.org is still up and running. All you have to do is enter your zip code. The website will then show give you a fairly decent idea as to where to place your tv and antenna for maximum signal reception.

  137. Gerry Aire says:

From the tv commercial, and the information at this site, this antenna appears to be nothing more than a regular antenna, of the type you can purchase at any department store. look at the first “frequently asked question” above… it says just that.

  138. R Scott says:

I have just recently purchased The Clear TV antenna and like everyone else I feel its a little to good to be true and I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop, I called with the intention of ordering Only the 1 antenna for $19.99 buy 1 get 1 free, Well, the get 1 free turns out to be $7.99 for shipping and handling fees. I ordered a second set of antennas. The 1st antenna being $19.99 and the free antenna is $7.99. My total for the entire set was $80.00. I was charged an additional $9.99 for priority shipping. My order ended up on a back order and I didn’t receive the requested paid for priority shipping, Instead I was told there would be a refund of $9.99 to my account. However I contacted the Clear TV company about my priority shipping not being delivered on the delivery date, The company DID NOT contact me through my Email, Telephone, or letter. I was told i would receive my package on 3/1/2013 the order went out on 2/16/2013…..But friends I will return after the 3/1/2013 with a report of how the Clear TV services working. My $$ is on Clear TV.

Do you have a number to call to get a refund, I have been waiting two months for priority shipping.

        • liz says:

Cancel it now before they take your money. It doesn’t work. Everything you read in these customer reviews is true. I can’t return mine. I paid $45-00 but to return it I am only getting $19.00 back and not the shipping and handling. Believe me. I waited 21 days even if I paid priority.

        • Pat says:

This is the number I just saw on the advertisement 1800 219 8182, however the ad I saw earlier was a 1800 960 # so I don’t know if it’s a lot of different companies selling this thing. My husband made my antenna following directions from YouTube, it works great! and it’s FREE.

This Clear TV Digital HD Antenna does not work for me due to the fact I am in a rural area that is too far from towers. I would like to return it but cannot find information on how to do this. The phone number that I call seems to be bogus. Can you please give me this information.

Usually if you call the 800 number where you ordered if your persistent they will pop a number for refunds. Remember some of these telemarketers aren’t the sharpest tool in the box. If they can’t help you ask for a supervisor. Take names who you talk to. If no help after that go to the Department of Consumer Affairs in your state.

How much better is cleartv to my current rabbit ears? I do not have cable or satellite and get the basic stations. I’m wondering if it works better than the ears.

    • Gadgetman says:

If you have an old television set which had the rabbit ears for UHF you will need an analog to digital converter box also to get more channels using any antenna on the market plus it all depends on how close you are to a pro casting tower.

Oh I forgot if you have an old television set where the rabbit ears screwed on with two screws then you will need the device that screws into the VHF screws and set the television to 3 or 4 to use the converter box.

If you do have the old television set then it’s time to buy a flat screen tv which has a digital converter box built in. Treat yourself

Back in the day television only had VHF then UHF was added and some of those tv’s had to have a box to get the UHF channels I have one of those boxes

This Clear T.V. is misleading and A Confirmation of what Channel it will not get has been confirmed by Clear T.V. and letting them know that I reside one block away from the local CBS Affiliate Station and this antenna does not even get this channel, as well as ABC and NBC. What is sad is that I bought some Rabbit Ears and they work.

  144. Dorreatha Ford says:

what channels are included? Do you have hbo and amc, tbs, tbn, usa,

    • Joeha says:

Dorreatha, I checked the Clear TV Website and read the fine print. It states the antenna works best if it is installed outside. The range for local channels is within 25 miles of a TV transmitter. It is for local TV only. A short range antenna so to speak. I suggest if you live in a rural area, you order a real TV antenna from summitsource.com or winegarddirect.com, solidsignal.com or another company that offers them. I have a Winegard 8200UF on a 35 foot tower with a rotor and amplifier. I works very well and stations 60+ away come in perfect. Good luck, and don’t forget to do your homework before you buy. Don’t be afraid to call the companies and they will be happy to help you. And go to antennaweb.org to find a lot of your answers.

  145. Dorreatha Ford says:

    what channels are included?

  146. Has anyone tried the Clear TV Antenna, Is it any good?

Is the picture quality really good?

Is the Clear TV antenna really better than satellite and cable service providers?

    • Kris Liberato says:

Yes, it’s worth the money and then some. The picture is quite clear. As far as being “better” than satellite and cable services, I have to say DEFINITELY YES since you pay ONCE for this antenna – then no monthly payments! Just be careful when you order – – they duplicated my order and charged me twice, but corrected the error after a few telephone calls and a little frustration on my part.

THIS IS A GOOD DEAL, FOLKS – – the antenna is small, easy to stick on a window (with a little spit), and the reception is amazing!

How many channels are you suppose get?

          • thecreator says:

            Hi All,

Let”s set the record straight. You can’t get Channels like ESPN, The Cable News Channels or CSpan. You can only received Broadcast TV Signals.

How many Broadcast TV Signals you receive, depends on what City you live in. If you live in Baltimore City, Maryland, you will receive a lot of Channels, because you get Channels from Baltimore City and from Washington, D.C.

I personally receive Channels from Baltimore and Washington, D.C., but honest, the channels I received from Washington, D.C. and surround area, are channels that are broadcast to the Baltimore Area.

It just depends on where in the City you live, to get channels.

Before you cancel Cable, try Clear TV Antenna, to see if it will benefit you, where you live and if not happy return the product.
