Celia Robertson claims in her review of the Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls-“Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls is a disappointing product. These dryer balls create a lot of static. They also get caught up in laundry items, causing them to ball up, which is the opposite of their purpose. I regularly open the dryer to find them half way up a pant leg, the pants in a twisted, tangled, damp mess or, caught up in sheets, especially the corners of fitted sheets which cause the entire sheet to twist, tangle, and wrap itself up in a wet mass around the dryer ball(s)”.

Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls user Wendy White complains-“Noisy in the dryer. It does not reduce dry time one bit”.

A. Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls are fantastic for fluffing and speeding up the drying process for down sleeping bags and comforters. They come out all fluffy without clumps.

Q. Can you use essential oils with the Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls?
A. I put 2 drops of essential oil on 2 of the balls, and let them dry for a few hours and then tumble with the clothing. Works great and I have not had any issues with stains.

Q. Approximately how big is each Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls?
A. Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls are more or less the size of tennis balls.

Q. How often does the Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls need to be replaced and what are the signs that they are too old?
A. The dryer balls will probably need a replacement every 2-4 years depending on how often you do laundry. They do collect lint and pet hair (which keeps this stuff off your clothes) and you can remove lint and make them look clean and new again by giving them a shave.

Q. Is the Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls 100% organic i.e. no chemicals or dyes used ever?
A. The description states there are no chemicals ever used in the Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls. I did not find the words organic. The fiber is left natural, no dye, and no bleach.

Q. How do I use the Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls? Pop it in right before the dryer begins, then take them out and let them air-dry?
A. I just leave mine in the dryer all the time. As I’m pulling clothes out, I leave them in. You mentioned letting them air-dry- they won’t be wet. Wool doesn’t hold water like cotton or other fibers. It’s naturally water resistant because of the lanolin.

Q. Does the Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls remove dog hair from clothes like traditional dryer sheets?
A. Dog hair is a problem for us, too. I was actually concerned that the Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls would collect too much dog hair. They collect some but not much.

Q. How many Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls do you use in each (full size) dryer load?
A. The directions will tell you that laundry dries quicker by using more balls so I use all 6 of them, regardless of load size.

A. No they don’t. Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls actually helps keep lint and fuzziness off your clothes.

Q. Which works better: wool or nubby dryer balls?
A. Really feel the wool works a bit better. I do use 6 at a time. Plus, you don’t have the chemicals that rubber/plastic dryer balls have. That is the main reason I switched over. Wool is awesome and natural.

Q. If you use a dryer sheet with the Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls, does it affect its performance? I’m looking for reduced drying time + less static.
A. I don’t know about the combo with dryer sheets as my whole point in getting the wool balls was to get rid of the dryer sheets so I have not used them together. Dryer sheets use toxic chemicals, or so I have heard. Yet, I also have not had that much of a static issue.

Q. If I use liquid fabric softener already in the washer, do I still need the Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls?
A. Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls should take the place of liquid fabric softeners. If you would like to keep using liquid fabric softeners, then you do not need the Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls to soften, however, the Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls does shorten drying time so it may be helpful in that area.

Q. I find wool itchy, so I can’t even wash our wool socks with undergarments. Would the Dryer Sheep Wool Dryer Balls cause same problem?
