I actually just got through closing for Scum Off at the local fall home show, and it was a great experience. The sales person that I worked with was very nice, and I was more than satisfied with my compensation. I even got a bottle of Scum Off for my home, and I am already very impressed! Not only did I earn some extra money, but my bathroom cleaning has just become a lot easier. I can’t wait to try it in the other areas of my home as well!
The worst company I have ever dealt with. They had a booth at a show I attended. I have never been around a company so unethical and inconsiderate as Scum Off. ‘Big Mike’ thought he could rent a booth then use the isle to sell with out considering or caring that those tactics ruin the show for everyone. That and the damn microphone, in a place it is banned and not appropriate. He also thought the F word was appropriate, ripped off an assistant he hired locally of $300.00; Told everyone with in hearing distance how she stole money from him – it started at $150 she stole but as the story got better it upped it to $350. – Yep I wouldn’t buy this product for nothing, I don’t care if it does work. Just about a poor and unethical company as I have seen.
This review was written by another vendor. The conversation they were privileged too took place after the close of the Great Falls Home Show on Saturday, April 2nd, 2011. Again, this was a conversation that I had with another vendor and personal friend AFTER all of the customers has left the building.
I did not accuse anyone of theft; however, there was a $350 discrepancy on the books (turned out that the girl I hired had broken down a product box without noting it causing the error). I did not accuse her of anything and, in fact, paid her a bonus for the work that she did ($60 on top of what she had earned as a cashier). This is not a complaint from a user but sour grapes from another vendor that did not do well at the show and chose to blame that fact on others around him instead of putting the blame where it belonged: on himself.
Here’s a hint, Butch… Although the concept of a “Bat House” to attract bats instead of a bird house that attracts birds is a little weak in and of itself, it still might have worked if you weren’t charging $100 for them. It’s $10 worth of wood and screws from Home Depot and less than an hour’s worth of your time to make one for Heaven’s sake. And, as far as your “Yep I wouldn’t buy this product for nothing,” comment… We sold out and had a huge amount of orders after the show and you didn’t sell anything. I think that the public has spoken here.
